Should of been Kirk communicating from the old Enterprise, having Spock hail me just didn't feel right. I am sure they could of paid Shatner for a couple of lines.

*spoilers*
I believe it used to be Kirk. However they had Leonard on hand and I guess wanted to use his voice instead. But yeah, Spock is great and all but he already has a lot in this game. Heck, there are two Spocks in the game (old and new). Even when this mission was just text in Beta it had more of an affect on me coming from Kirk.

Yeah I wish we could hear more characters voices from StarTrek, like Pickard or Quark. That would bring in more of the other series.

Shatner had a sissy fit after the cameo in the movie, what makes you think he'd voice act for the game? :p

I wondered if there were any parallels to this and the fact that Shatner had no part in the Star Trek movie and Nimoy did. Despite all of the comments made after the fact by Mr. Shatner as to why ( I don't go for the "your character was dead" excuse, it's Sci-Fi), I wonder if it was just more about availability and willingness.
