Unable to login, any ideas?

I login fine, i select my charactor and then login, as soon as i get to the "retrieving maps" section im thrown out of the game. any ideas whats wrong?

I can't login either I get the same first screen....Now I get the dissconnected from account server message.

been getting the same thing all afternoon. Have tried not using a proxy which gets this problem. Using the EU proxy barely gets me through patching on the launch screen (ie it takes ages to do it) then wont connect to the login server.

beginning to become quite frustrating this :(

I think the server is in the process of crashing.

It will most likely be going into "emergency maintenance" soon.

You will most likely be able to get in after they restart it.

The game is runnign fine. There are a few reasons why you cant access it.

Could be an issue with your firewall or isp
Could be a problem with the login server


If its the latter, then dont worry, cryptic will already know about it.

Asked my ISP and they said its nothing on there end. my firewall is configed right and so i belive it may be the login server. i just hope its fixed soon.

i wish they would fix it soon. i can't even get to the character select screen. been for 8 hours now

This really is absolutely pathetic. After 25 minutes, finally get in game. Start a mission, 5 minutes to change map and then when i get there, no bridge officers and the reinforcements button doesn't do a damn thing. Abort to try again and get thrown out of game as it screws up changing map again.

I know what you mean, i get this
Connecting to server...... retreaving charater...... server timed out
loged on.... connecting to account....wating for responce......connecting to account.... retreaving charter... disconnected (10 times in a row on the EU, US, and no proxey)


Was fine last night and 6 hours ago major lag 4 hours ago and heavy trying to log on


(my guess, the server hampster died)

I just logged off the game cause seerver was not responding every time people zoned and equiping/unequiping items took forever. I imagine its bogged down

Yes, the game is running so fine that people in places all over the world, on different ISPs, with different peering, even VPNing to a point of presence almost on top of Cryptic are having the same problem. :rolleyes:
