I would like to know what drops where and from what.

Where are the best grind spots for each rank?

Fleet actions. In my experience, best place to grind loot as long as you can make it to the top 4 spots.

But all the Fleet action are general for Cmd level. So you just better off doing quest by yourself. as you have a better chance to loot stuff. And you can pretty much do all the quest solo. Thus increasing you chance of getting a item. Unless you flying a escort and get group up with another non escort player

I solo'd everything just fine in my escort all the way to Adm 5. one or two missions i had to be careful with (or learn from my ship exploding) but i encountered nothing in the way of missions i couldn't solo in my escort.

I agree though questing is the best way of getting items in my experience. The drop rates seem weirdly (i know rng is rng but) random at taimes absolutely nothing eill ftop for agrs then you'll get 5 drops in 10 mins - besides batteries etc i mean.

Bear in mind that this isn't a loot centric game. If all you like to do is fight ships, then knock yourself out. But you'll miss out on some pretty fun missions just 'grinding'.

Make a list yourself and fill it with useless crap like batteries and commodities and you have the STO drop tables. No matter what level ship or personage.
