Away Team NPC’s should automatically teleport to Way Point!!

I’m constantly having to go back to collect my NPC’s.

They keep getting stuck in doorways with extended lips or rooms filled with boxes and crates.
Not to mention getting stuck in the outdoor terrain and foliage.

I spent 10 minutes trying to free one from a guard rail on steps, before I abandoned the mission and logged off in frustration.

Teleporting to the designated Way Point would be very helpful.

Its odd, I have had them 'teleport' before but I'm not sure what triggers it. Other times they get stuck in world geometry, or under ground, or even at a doorjam (I think Starfleet hires drunks..)

I do wish they would do this on their own if they cant move for a few seconds.

Some imaginitive person will come up with a real life STO episode and post it on the interweb I'm sure. They'll have all of the bridge officers stuck against a wall in the room they just left or something of the sort.

Picard: "Mr Data, what are you still doing in that room?"
Data: "Captain, someone appears to have put a wall in front of me."
Picard: "Well use the door Mr Data."
We see Data run past the door and then run back to where he was.
Data: "Its very curious Captain, I can't seem to find this 'door' you mentioned."

I agree, if they get far enough behind, they should just beam over to you. I'm sick of having to backtrack and maneuver them through doorways and around other objects, because they're too stupid to get around these obstacles on their own.
