I would like to try some ground and space pvp where can i go for this?.

On your mini-map in the upper right of your screen click the down arrow. There is an option there for "Join PVP Queues" or something like that. Click it and the queue list will pop up. Click the queue or queues you would like to join and wait for the proper number of players to populate before the PVP you have selected launches.
