Screen going blank for fracture of second after each explosion.

Here's my rig:

* CPU: Q6600 OC’d @ 3.08 GHz, 8×376
* MoBo: P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP, Bios Rev. 1238
* RAM: 4GB A-Data Vitesta Ext. Edt. 800Mhz@752Mhz, 1:1
* GPU: PowerColor HD4870 1GB @ Catalyst 10.1
* PSU: be quiet Dark Power Pro 550W
* TFT: 28″ Hanns.G HG281D
* OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit

Here's my problem:

Everytime an enemy ships explodes it seems my whole screen goes black for a fracture of a second. I don't actually see anything going black, but the whole screen flickers ONCE, like going black, very fast.

Anyone seeing anything like that?

Sounds like a driver issue perhaps. You should post this in the tech support forum, they would be better able to help you with this then anyone in the General Gameplay.
