For solving special quests or for a certain amount of medals (obtainable by completing a kill quota or a certain amount of explorations) we could get special rewards.
Since we can get the latest weapon and console technology easily in this game, something else should be available, like:
(usable ground wepons):
Original TOS Phaser
Original TNG Dolphin Phaser (Nemesis/Voyager)
if those were at least mk IV i'd be happy :)
