Ok I realize everyone is super angry, hell Im pretty angry too as I purchased the game from Atari. I've read through most of the posts and I haven't seen anyone mention the 60 days extra is anywhere else but the Atari website. I've been level 45 for over 2 weeks now, and yes Im getting bored waiting for the content that I know is coming. Im not sure what's worse, the note on the front page about the 60 days or the fact that everyone is flying off at the handle at Cryptic.

Point in fact, Cryptic didn't do this deal. Atari did as they have added the 60 days to thier retail package. Also fact: Cryptic is the "DEVELOPER" and Atari is the "DISTRIBUTOR". Anger should be pointed at Atari, not Cryptic. We can scream all we want at Cryptic but again, this isnt thier decision. Im sure they played a roll in it, but I can't believe the "DEVELOPERS" who are veterans of the MMO industry would intentionally try to alienate the people that will ultimately be paying for thier Taco Bell runs.

I have no flame retardant suits nor do I care what you think of me for defending Cryptic, but my emails are going to Atari.

It's not a developer - publisher relationship, Atari actually bought Cryptic, so they are the same corporate entity.

Monthly fees wouldnt go to atari if they didnt own Cryptic.. it would go to cryptic.. I bought STO through impulse.. Impulse cannot add on extra time to subs..

What Im saying is it's like blaming walmart store employees for raising the prices on a gallon of milk, when it was a executive decision from corporate. Walmart executives = Atari....Walmart in store employees = Cryptic.....underpaid and overabused.

Look the lead dev is the Representative of Cryptic to the Atari higher ups. send how you feel to him. he can pass it on. it's not like Cryptic doesn't have some pull on how the game works out. here is where you send it. (http://forums.startrekonline.com/member.php?u=10354)
