The KDF needs strong representation in this new Advisory Council the time to fight for our faction is now before its to late.

I and many of my Klingon counter parts have notice these council members are all federation bound players and fleets. while here on the klingon side we have no representation and have felt ignored through out the process of the developing this game. I have come to the deference of cryptic on many different areas of complaint and have pleaded the case to my fleet and friend that the Greater Klingon Faction is not the second rate faction it appears to be. As well as putting their fears aside that the Klingon faction is in no way complete or final. I will ask here and now to represent my fleet, my friends, and all the Greater Klingon faction players in this game.

Please show your support here and let me know what you would like to see fixed ,change, or implement into the Greater Klingon Faction. We need to do more then complaint on these forums we need to organize. We can make this game whatever we want if we come together here and let it be seen that we are dedicated, organized, and relentless. If you can type then lets here from you about your fears, thoughts, and suggestion here.

THANK YOU AND PLEASE SUPPORT
(KDF) FOR THE ADVISORY COUNCIL TO REPRESENT ALL OF YOU IN THE GREATER KLINGON FACTION.

Agreed, Vuk and Hagon if they are willing to continue the good fight.

Stuff that I would like to See.

Open PVP - Territorial Control, Starbases, Planet Captures, Resource Taking, etc., etc., etc...
Episodic Conent - Equal to the Feds
Customization - Equal to the Feds in both ship/character - male/female
Carrier/Sci Ship - the Carrier needs to be looked it - Sci Ship is needed on the klingon side - we can't rely on BoP's to fit every niche there is.

Great, an rp'in klingon. Just what we need to represent us.

Since you asked.
Problems.
Zone maps are super buggy. Who here has loaded into the ton'g, dekel, azalea, etc zones, and when reaching an anomaly, there is nothing there or not all of the ships or troops for you to kill are there? I have. It's happens every day. On my BG and my Commander.

Quonos is crash central. I can't tell you how many server disconnects happen in that place. My fleet and I are just screwing around waiting in the queue, and, BOOM, everyone on vent is yelling about a server disconnect. I actually just crashed about 5 minutes ago. It's why I am writing in here.

Change instance in war zones and fleet actions is broken. Comes up as "nopossibleadmin" every time.

War zones themselves are broken. The scores don't update on time. I can count on one hand every time it has actually worked when going against opposing players. Most of the time, it's just some mish mash where no one gets credit for their. No blue items, no nothing.

PvP itself It's really busted

I honestly wish there was a wow type chat involved. I really don't like to read whines in every single match I go into. It would also cut down on the 12year old german crazy kid type of smack talk that goes on from the klingon side. It's not a bug, but it is wishful thinking.

As I am sure others have said. Queues. I would rather wait until a complete 5 on 5 is assembled with all parties present, then go into a 5 on 1 or 5 on 2 match. PvP is still the much faster way to level in this game, due to pve skill points in the new zones being practically worthless and belonging to buggy missions. In the time it takes me to finish 3 missions in azalea or dkel, I could have 3/4's to a complete level done with space or ground pvp. Having to wait around until 5 player are on my team is very slow. I either have to stay dead or just get myself killed 15-40 times real quick. That is unfair to me, the klingon player, for I should be given a fair chance to take maximum xp.

Capitulation to fed nerf calls is another problem. Jesus, This game only has 100k subs. Do mmo companies not pay any attention to competition. Changing the game because of nerf calls destroyed the 900k-1.2m sub game, SWG. A quarter of the population dropped after the CU "balanced" the game, and an overwhelming majority left after the NGE. To the point where they started giving free server transfers and closing servers.

How about the mark of honor/exploration vendors? And to some extent the badge vendors. Those things are all messed up. Covariants triple capps are supposed to have like 10k shielding. It reads as 6k to some, 10k to others. No one knows which is right. The 6k doesn't seem right because it is a minimal jump for purple shielding. How about the badge vendors that have missing or completely wrong gear in them. I send in bug reports all the time. All I get is auto responses.

How about actual gm interaction? Has anyone even talked to a gm on the klingon side. I have gotten crapped on by losing so many items due to bugs, it's not even funny. All I get is auto responses from the gm tickets and bug reports. I can understand the bug report, but come on. This game has 100k subs. Is there only 1 gm working the game or something?

How about having no maps? I know new ones are coming out, but the same 3 space and ground ones are getting a little tedious after a month. To be honest, the were old after a week of grinding in them. Yay, we got shantytown, which has a crap respawn. Gotta love accidentally programmed clone camping.

There are a ton of different bugs in pvp that can easily looked up on bug reports in the forums as critical. Just remember to sift thru all the fed posts. Seriously, if the klingons were so overpowered as the feds say, there would be a heck of a lot more of them. Our numbers are kind of small. I realize it is pretty much monster play akin to lotro right now. It's not for everybody. The grind shouldn't be nearly as long as it is to become a klingon with the state of the klingon faction. Seriously. We basically have one zone worth of stuff. And that is really just about equal to 1/10th of the fed starter system. We have the temple dig. We have a ground and space k v k war zone, the crystalline entinty, ice mining, the fed mine field, and some super repetitive fed/romulan/cardassian zones where the ships don't even change spawn position.

Lets go to pve. There is none. This is complete crap. I had more fun grinding skill attachment tapes on aakuans on talus in swg, because at least there I could have some randomness in my loot. Sometimes it was junk, sometimes it was big money/useful. Star Trek is 100% crap. All the time. The only way to get good gear is in war zones, which are pvp by nature. Infected, and the Cure. You have to be joking. This is the worst high end pve I have seen in any mmo, including korean mmos(which are notoriously garbage). Anyone with a ventrilo can complete these missions. It's no big whoop. I remember seeing a post about the first guild to down the cure. Congrats, you haven't even made it to the first keyholder in the precu deathwatch bunker. Infected is so easy a group of pre literate 4 year olds can do it. The cure? Seriously? One wipe and you can figure out the strategy behind it. it's a joke. Ooooh, but we get marks for it. Great. Don't make the item values so ridiculously high for such minor or no improvements of the weapon or equipment. You want to know where you use it outside of infected? The ground and space war zones, which only a few people go to, and random azalea zone missions. Whoopee!

We could also get into the major bugs of pve if you want. From the not being able to complete objectives because of no spawn such as in the temple dig or the new zones. Or we could get into critical ones such as being able to hit a transmitter over and over again in the ice mining planet. As I said earlier, actually read klingon made bug reports instead of fed nerf calling posts.

About the only reasons I stay in this game is because of my fleet, and there is no where else to go for a scifi fan. I am honestly thinking about quitting and have been advising my 30 person fleet to follow me and go to the free swg emulator server. That's 25 odd subs, lifetime and monthly combined. Is there any real reason to be paying for a game still in beta? Well the first question about leaving would probably be, "Why don't you try the federation?" The reasons are multiple. I like pvp, a lot. I can always find it as a klingon. Another reason I can't stand feds, the whining. It really is a problem. My ignore list is bigger than my swg and lotro ignore lists combined. And that was from a period of like 5 years. In swg, i was in the most hated Imperial guild on the server. Deadly Intentions. Gorath. Oh, and the fed role play weirdness also is a little creepy. Especially when people are using it to hook up ingame. Fix the Klingon side.

More warzones , more weapons , more ships.

Some warzones should be on a one hour timer if you win the match that warzone is yours any enemy ship enterin your warzone is killed and delvled to lvl 1

We here also agree with a timer system to were if the match hasn’t ended with in a certain time frame the side with the highest score wins. Yes this will have it supporter and its players against it, but if you have ever spent a good amount of time in a que only to have it bug out or count stop then you know what we are talking about yes it is a waste of you time if you there and receive nothing.

Of course another issue arises from this when a side gets the high score on their side they can run until the clock runs out. Federation player will yell out foul because we on the Klingon side have cloaks we can hide with almost no detection.

So how to solve this problem that’s what this form is for someone make a suggestion about the Klingon faction and others find the issue that can arise and we all try and solve them because Cryptic will be less likely to implement our ideas with out a properly vented theory that solve all for seeable problems.

So if there is any suggestions on how we can solve these issue it could be a valid fix to place into the game. We will continue to try and work out a theory on how to get something like this with out effecting or bring a issue that other player do not agree with.

So please if you have any suggestion on this or any other thing you would like to see on the KDF side place it in this tread thank you all.

Fix PvP - the undersized repetitive maps, the borked up queue system, the lack of OPEN multi-tier PvP, the lack of consentual 1 on 1 to include SPORTING EVENTS such as bat'leth tournaments, the lackluster rewards for time spent as compared to Fed PvE rewards for time spent.

From what I see since playing from open beta they could pretty much wipe the STO servers and start rewriting from scratch.

The Advisory Council is actually not speciest. It is not Klingon vs. Federation. Feedback should cover the entire scope of the game. This is definitely not a role-playing group. If anyone treats it as such and encourages us to favor Bajorans over Bolians, we simply won't listen to their ignorant speciest attitudes. That's so 21st century!

Certainly, you can and should stop paying when the game is no longer enjoyable for you, but I sincerely hope you give us an opportunity to improve and expand the game and its universe first. I believe very strongly that Cryptic has done a terrific job with post-launch updates for all its games. We work very hard to acknowledge problems, crush them, and improve the games we love.

As was admitted in the past, that particular did not go over so well, no. But, we listened, learned, worked out the problem and implemented the necessary changes. We're not infallible, but we are tireless and devoted to our games and their communities.

I am in no way saying this is a faction against faction council, but the things is in order for you guy at cryptic to get feedback on entire game you need player that play each role not a multitude of player playing the something. So if there is a KDF dedicated player on the council they can feed back what, where, when and how to best use the Greater Klingon Faction to cryptic’s ability.

I don’t want members favoring KDF over FED it simply listing to the community and friend a relay it to devs for consideration. We just have to have member that are playing both side and any other faction you guy implement later.

Do you think this is favoring one faction over another

I do agree that the klingons need a seat on this so called council
Who it should be idk but it should not be made up of just federation fleets and federation players

And yeah they should dedicate a patch to the KDF to fix the bugs and lack of content and the general short end of the stick we have.

I spoke with a dev earlier and he told me that it is not about faction but I believe if all the member are mostly playing feds how the heck can they talk about the KDF side of game play if they are not on that side most of the time. come on cryptic if this is a true council for all why not release the in game name of these guy so all can talk and see what side they are play most of the time. I sure cryptic can see how long a player has played a toon each day how about releasing the council members KDF play time compared to their fed play time. Cryptic you clam to be transparent in this issue and those on the council should be mandated to allow you to release this info.

Q. How were the original members chosen?
A: The first batch of participants was a starting place decided upon by a social networking firm that works with Atari and Cryptic. They gauged interest, received responses and settled on the current members to initiate the effort.
Feedback: What? Social Networking firm? And why not allow all to apply then make a choose it appear this is nothing more then marketing.
Q: I would like to apply to join the council. Can I?
A: We are looking at growing the Advisory Committee to include people who are active on our forums. Stay tuned for more information on how you can apply to become a member of the STO Advisory Committee.
Feedback: Wait you didn’t want people that troll these forums and now you do. You think you guys should of dropped information on how to apply before choosing members and the choose members.
Q: Will we see more details on the program in the near future?
A: You want more details and we'll certainly provide more. Like many endeavors, it will grow, change and ultimately take a shape almost entirely governed by Star Trek and STO fans. In other words, it's malleable. We didn't formulate a specific terms of service or code of conduct, etc.
Feedback: Really who ask some of these questions? Like you guy are not going to release more on this! Come on skip the questions that we already know the answer to this is something a politician would do.
Q: So people who don't give feedback in the forums are going to talk to one of four strangers about it?
A: Star Trek fans who feel overwhelmed by the forums and disinclined to post there may prefer speaking with other Star Trek fans in different venues, yes.
Feedback: Just keep doing what your doing and you’ll get feed back from player that do not post I was one until this council sprung up.

These are some of the views our fan base is expressing to the new FAQ if you could answers any of these that would be appreciated.

Respectfully I'd decline the offer . The main reason being the way Cryptic functions . Hagon or whomever they'd appoint would likely be little more than figurehead representation to appease the masses. I refuse to be a pawn for Cryptics marketing department and push a game that currently , is at best average. I've seen nothing in Crpytics action to date to warrant anything more than a casual ppfftt , at the content presented and proposed . They frame this game as a MMO , yet nothing exsists to support or encourage guild/fleet interaction or events . The SF is a joke , I could take a PUG and run them through it fairly easily . This is ultimately a single player game with group aspects. The only aspect that gives me any glimmer of hope, where this game is concerned currently , is the fact that they dropped the idea of putting this to consoles. Too little , too late , I fear . I thank you though and will continue to advocate/defend for the Klingon cause where I see a need .

The Knights Order have created the Klingon Defence Force Vent server (50 man limmit atm). PvP or PvE use it as you wish. No Recruiting and NO FEDS are basic considerations, And NO disrespecting other players. Use it for strategy discussion or just to get to know one another.

We also encorage smaller fleets to join us as well. You can be set up with your own permanent channel for when you want to do fleet only operations.
