Many people have been asking when we will be able to challenge our friends to 1v1 pvp. Cryptic has replied that this is not on their immediate agenda - 'not top of their list'.
Well for those of us that want this why not simply remove the 'minimum number' from private pvp matches? At the moment if you create private pvp you have to have the same number of players as though it were an open pvp match you have queued for. Why? I'll repeat that as it is the core of this post... why?
Surely this would be a simple way of allowing us to pvp 1v1 immediately - just remove this requirement to have a set number from the process.
I'm wondering if the gameplay just doesn't add up 1v1 and that is why this simple mechanic is not in the game..... i.e. a good cruiser will kill a good escourt all the time, a good sci ship will kill everything all the time etc etc.......
(PS, Devs, in create private pvp it uses the word MAXIMUM - When it is both a MAXIMUM and a MINIMUM requirement.)
