I am taking my phasers and going after Sauron on LOTRO.
Look for a Hobbit named Khan on Firefoot...
Nothing to do here, paid the lifers fee so I can spend the money on Hobbit land.
I will come back to visit, but until this game gets some substance, I need something to do.
BTW, Platypus is available for all you stalking needs, since I will be gone. :D
NO, you can't have my ****... lol :D

I never got all that far with LOTRO, honestly. A lot of it had to do with not being happy with the fact that it seemed like you had to be too interconnected with people to work all of it out like profession skills. I tend to be a rather solitary person in game and don't like having to rely too much on people.

I enjoyed playing a warden, the problem I have had with the game is that the professions seemed to rely on having supplies that you either had to buy from other people or make alts to farm.

Oh, like? I survived on vendor-bought items without much of a problem. The only time I ever really needed player-crafted items is if I had to go on a raid, or wanted food/drink for buf***e. But as a warden, I was pretty well off on my own.

I may have been missing things. Well, I may have to give it another try at some point, but right now, i can't afford three games.

No, they aren't race specific. With the exception of a couple of types of weapons, most are equipable by any class out there. It is just a matter on whether or not you have the skill to make using that weapon better or not. For instance, wardens get nice spear stats, but I could use a hammer or club if I wanted to, but I couldn't use them as good as a spear.

Not only are there hammers, there are 2 handed hammers, and, if you are one of the right classes, you can dual wield hammers :D.
I used one for a while that looked like I stole it from Gallager (spl).

|I liked how you could get drunk in the game... and enjoyed the Horse racing and special events.
Strange thing was as soon as i bought the update Mines of Moria i lost interest in the game
I think it was all the elite players who expected everyone to know exactly what to do in a Group mission, and Mines of Moria seemed to be very team based.
Although it was fun when joining non elite teams to kill goblins and such but to do the hard missions you needed better players and they were just a little to critical for my tastes even when you were playing correctly.
E.G why the **** did you move right two paces ! you should move left

I've thought about trying out LOTRO.
I had a trial version at one point, tried it out, and was decently impressed, but didn't have the cash money to actually get myself a full copy and a subscription.
However, now that I'm not paying for EVE or WoW anymore, and I'm about to life it up for STO, I'll have some cash moneys to spend on subscriptions.
I think I may go ahead and get LOTRO.
Especially since the game itself is dirt cheap now.
Still waiting (and getting more excited by the day) for the 40k MMO though.

I had fun in LotRO, you need a group to play with, but get a good one and as always the fun cranks right up.
Don't get sick for 6 months in the middle of leveling and get left behind.

You two sound like you've never had to be on birth control.
Newbie's right.
Take it from me, it can cause issues. My girlfriend has to use a facewash every day or she breaks out in horrible acne due to her birth control. She also gained fifteen pounds in about a month after she first started taking the pills.

Haz...why would I be on birth control? Even when I do start dating, if I get pregnant, it will be a miracle. It will be all over the news!

My point exactly. Don't jump all over Newbie for making an accurate statement just 'cause Cappy's apparently a little high strung. Not unless you have all the facts, which you obviously don't.

Ah, ok, I was just being silly. I did not get the reference though. I also tend to not know what is/is not funny. i apparently upset someone for 'turning to violence' by suggesting I wanted to knock him upside the head.

I also like how when Cappy gets offended by a post, she leaves that thread forever, so when someone like me totally hands her ass to her, she can't come back and see just how wrong she really was.
