Just a simple screen shot I took while playing with a friend the other night. I was helping him out on a mission. I am in the Dervish, he is in the Connie refit. The ship on the left is the original Enterprise while the ship on the right is a generic AI Connie. Didn't expect this to be such a nice SS but since it turned out well, I thought I would share.

Makes you wish you could "refit" or upgrade any tier ship to be on-par with your current rank, doesn't it? I'd love to beef up a Connie refit to make it suitable for RA5 missions.

Same here. Heck, I'd love to have my TOS Constitution for a RA run. I'll probably end up goin' back to them anyway after getting the equipment I want at RA, regardless of 'em being T1 and T2 ships.

I actually tried that and it didn't pan out too well. They just dont have the firepower or hull rating. Even with all my purple Mk X equipment that I installed. it may be that I'm skilled in Fleet Escort Captain and none in any Cruiser Captain. But I still didn't hold up very long against the RA5-level enemies.

I'm excited to see that the Excelsior is leading the fan vote for next starship class to be introduced into the game. And when I say "excited" I mean REALLY geeked-up.

True. I got my butt kicked in Captain level compat with mine. That was somewhat..... well I think ya know. But it does present a new way to appoach missions, however.
I was really lookin' forward to the Ambassador Class, but I think that one is gonna be a fairly long while before it comes around.
