That is an easy question to answer. It is, them all.

The order in which they do them will, I hope, be determined by the desires of the players.

Of course you realise if the Undine do become a playable race then they would, for balance reasons, become as weak as all the other factions.

I read the title wrong.
Q as playable faction :-)

While I have a few pet factions (Ferengi, Romulan, Indie Borg), I'd think that defining what the faction brings to the table would be helpful.

Each faction has a different vibe - Ferengi could bring lots of trade/crafting options to the table.

With Romulans, I see espionage and party conspiracies playing a huge role.

What styles of gameplay would you enjoy and which culture would that match?

Lol, all you'd have to do is do whatever a Q does and everything would be instantly done, and I say whatever they do cause each one seems to have a specific thing they do to get what they want done as the Q we're more familiar with just snaps his fingers, not sure if they all do that.

While this is nuts, I would like a mission/episode similar to "Hide and Q" where you get temporary special powers.

If it's popular, we could have QvQ monster play added.

That would be an awesome mission. Lol, just hope one of your bridge crew smacks some sense into ya if you get to used to abusing your abilities.

All kidding aside, I think a Q faction would be the perfect skin for user generated content. Reasons on that here (http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=163146).

To be completely honest, I dont see how Cryptic is going to be able to support several player factions at the same time. We only have "two" right now(though really more like 1.5) and people already say they have run out of things to do. How long is it going to take for each faction to get new content when we have 3? 4? Unless they increase their team size, I dont see how they'll be able to pull it off without there being a long wait period between each faction getting its own new content.

That is a good point, so personally I think we'd best to let them get in the Romulan and Cardassians in before even thinking about anymore factions.

I dont even think they'll be able to support 4 full factions on a timely basis, TBH. It has taken over 5 months since launch for Klingons to get ANY episodes, and that is just one faction. How will they possibly be able to provide new content on a regular basis for 4 different factions at once? And another important question would be, what is going to happen to the current factions when they start working on the next? Are the Feds/Klingons going to continue getting new content on a regular basis once work starts on the Romulans, or will they have to wait until the team is finished?

Over a long enough timeframe - with an emphasis on agnostic content for all levels (or content adapted to the factions), I would wager that adding a faction becomes easier not more difficult.

My guess would be that different people would be working on different things, kinda like they did with the Caitian species, but as I said, that's just a guess and I could be quite wrong.

You mean bland missions that dont have a specific story written to make a Fed feel like a Fed, a Klingon feel like a Klingon, a Rom feel like a Rom, etc? Something like: "hey, there are bad guys here, kill 5 squads"?

But would those be new people, or part of the existing group? Because if its part of the existing group, then they would have to get SOME of the same people that are currently working on episodes for Feds/Klingons to start working on Rom episodes, and that would mean the people left over working on Fed/Klingon episodes would be smaller and not be able to make new episodes as quickly. I completely understand that different people do different things, and that the people who just worked on Caitians are not the same people writing episodes. However, when it comes time to make Romulan episodes, they are going to have to get some people from the existing "episode team" or hire new people.

I didn't say that the people who worked on the Caitians would be the same people that would working on the Romulan and Cardassian factions, all I said is that they'd probably take people off whatever to work on the new factions.

And even then I just said it was a guess.

I know, and I didnt mean to imply that you did(if I did).

Exactly my point. And the "whatever" that they have to take people off of isnt going to be developed as fast with a smaller group.

And even then I just said it was a guess.

Oh sure, we're all just guessing at this point. Although it would be kind of nice if Cryptic told us how they plan to do this, be it hire more people or what.

Oh, that's my bad then, but all I could hope is that they'd hire new people to work on the new factions, thus leaving the current group to continue making content for the Federation and Klingon factions.

Not to mention the fact you have to eat Nogatch hemlock once you finish the episode(s), and that would suck. :(

Well, the fluidic space missions are on the list of agnostic content (as are STFs and many fleet actions).

Imagine how much content will be usable by both factions in a year. Then, consider two years. Seems straightforward to me.

The reason the STFs are usable by both factions is because they deal with mutual enemies: the Borg and the Undine. However, unless you are suggesting that all agnostic content have the exact same enemies over and over again, that isnt going to work. At some point the Feds are going to need missions where they fight Klingons, Romulans, and Cards again, and those missions obviously arent going to work for the factions who are the "enemies" in the mission.

Well, simultaneously, there will be Open PvP areas for those who want to get their player faction klling fix (with the high probability of territory control according recent interviews).

I really do hope that they keep it in sectors and that those of us who do PvE deals or PvP Ques can work with that instead. Open PvP in the entire game would be a frighting thing.

Oh, there will never be open PvP in the entire game; you dont even have to worry about that. The majority of players dont even PvP, so Cryptic isnt that crazy(though thats not to say they arent crazy at all :p).

That's good, cause it's bad enough that we sometimes get griefers in the Crystalline Entity deal, I couldn't imagine what full open PvP terrors would come with well, full open PvP.

I rely do not mind if they add all of them except Borg and Horta.

Borg would be incredibly impractical and I think seeing people play as a Borg faction would rely kill the Star Trek vibe of the game.
The Horta you have to be kidding me who wants to play as a gelatinous blob.
