Always played PvP as a klink and I got 2 thinking....How does scramble sensors work on a fed ball... it seems 2 work well....just what does it do to a fed player?

When I get hit with it in my Advanced Escort, I lose my lock on the target. And it takes a few seconds before I can reacquire.

I find scramble sensors far more troublesome in FvF matches than FvK. Scramble sensors removes the color coding for the opposing team, making friend and foe indistinguishable by color, presenting the possibility of targeting friends. Well, in an FvK match I just start looking for ships with IKS in front of their names, makes it pretty easy to reacquire my target. In FvF I am now amidst a sea of target-able USS ships and I have to be very careful what I shoot at!

Personally I find it is more of an annoyance then anything else. But can get people to burn a science team, also for the less experienced or tab happy targeting folks it can work well.
Against more aware players I found it can be rather limited at best.
Just my opinion.

It's not the end of the world, but it forces you to stop what you're doing. The worst effects come within a second or two after it goes off.
When I'm healing it sometimes makes me shoot my heal target for a few seconds. Oops. I usually switch over to heal someone and then just use my space bar to pick up their target, so if the scramble goes off as I'm firing sometimes I torpedo the guy I was trying to save.
When I'm tanking, it can cause me to heal my enemy. Again, it's really only if I'm healing as the scramble goes off, but certain players seem to make a point to use scrabble right after their big burst DPS.
Even when I don't heal/shoot the wrong target in the first few seconds after scramble sensors goes off, it makes me much less efficient by keeping me from healing and shooting at the same time.
It's easy to clear of scramble sensors with science team, but that's not an instant fix since I need to be sure to manually target myself first. Otherwise I just clear off my enemy's debuffs for him.
Scramble sensors really isn't an "easy" button, but it does have it's uses. Even against the best players it forces them to be careful and to focus on overcoming the scramble for a little while rather than whatever else they were doing.

It makes the enemy names go brown. And sometimes makss their mines hit their own ships. Otherwise not a lot. Although it can make healing difficult sometimes when it randomly makes you switch targets

Scramble Sensors doesn't look as much fun in PvP as it does in PvE, but it can't be underestimated. It is now easy to mistarget heals or shoot at the wrong guy. You can avoid all that, but you need to do extra work. This screws up timing, and this alone can be crucial. You basically slow your enemies reaction times considerable, and if you think about how quick you have to react to avoid destruction from an alpha strike, you will see how dangerous it can be.
