Idea: Customization unlocks for Ground Kill accolades.

I had an idea recently, regarding accolades. Specifically, the ground kill accolades.

While the powers they reward provide a nice little bonus, I think it'd be cool if we could earn some cosmetic options from them as well.

Example: I'm sure there are some people out there who would probably like to create a Reman, or maybe a Hirogen, and I definitely know some people out there who would like to play a Jem'Hadar. However, most of them can't do so properly because we presently don't have access to those options. So, what if it could be made so we could jump through some hoops to earn them?

The unlocks, of course, would be account-wide, and can be used to create new characters. Not all options would be face customization options either: Since we have everything we need to create a Cardassian, why not make their signature tunic an unlockable, off-duty uniform option?

Below is a list of theoretical unlock options from four enemy groups:


Hirogen
500 Kills – Hirogen Respirator (Mouth Accessory)
1000 Kills – Hirogen Facial Complexion


Romulan
500 Kills – Romulan Waist Sash (Can be worn on both Standard Uniforms (ala, Mirror Universe sash), and Off-duty Uniforms)
1000 Kills – Romulan Tunic (Off-duty Uniform Option)


Reman
500 Kills – Reman Ears
1000 Kills – Reman Facial Option Set (Complexion, Forehead Detail, Nose Detail, Mouth Accessory (Fangs) )


Jem'Hadar & Cardassians
500 Kills – Cardassian Military Tunic (Off-duty Uniform Option)
1000 Kills – Jem'Hadar Facial Option Set (Complexion, Mouth Accessory)


Klingon Empire NPC groups (Klingon, Nausicaan, Orion, Gorn) are not included, since those particular options should remain unique to the Klingon players (though the items listed above can be earned by both factions). Undine and Borg are also not included, simply because I can't really think of anything that can be earned from them (especially from the Undine :p ).

Any thoughts, suggestions?

I honestly wouldn't mind such things being put on the CStore eventually, as long as they can be earned/unlocked in some manner.

Unlike some people though, I like to have a goal to work towards :D

just to point out im pretty sure these kills of 1000 (insert random alien name) will unlock the trophies to put on the walls

but im all for extra costume pieces too

An interesting idea. But I think we'll see Romulan uniforms when the Romulan faction gets worked on.

I hate posting that right now since these forums are still sore from all of the Klingon campaigning taking place this week. Heh.

I agree, I hate them puttin stuff on the C-Store, but you know how they likes there money. At last count there is over $135 worth of C-Store content, if everything is bought just once.
