Respec ?

Now that the skill cap has been raised I've got a respec question. I've got skill points in Heavy Escort and Tactical Escort Captain. Since I no longer use those ships, can I respec and put the points into other sections without loosing anything? Thanks in advance. =-)

What you take out you put back in. It does not have to be in the dame place.

Right. But what I was wanting to know was this:

The heavy Escort and I believe the Tactical Escort, aren't those specific to those tier ships? Meaning, it doesn't stack on to the T5 ships, correct? I can take out of the heavy and tactical, which I believe are T3 and T4 ships, and put those skill points into other sections without loosing hull strength and such in my T5 ship.

I realize that if I want to play with my T3 or T4 ship I won't have the bonuses, but I never play the lower tier ships once I get the new ones.

You could have just read the skill where it says 1/4 of it goes toward higher tier ships. So yes you will lose something, but is it enough for you to worry about? That is for you to decide.

You can copy to tribble if you haven't already done some testing and respec there and see for yourself before doing it live.

It stacks for the tier 5 ships. I am not sure if a tier 4 skill in escort would affect a tier 3 escort ship.

Hmm. I thought I had read it. Must have missed that part. I've got a disability that sometimes makes it hard for me to concentrate enough to catch the little stuff. I might have to give the tribble suggestion a try though. Thanks.

i dropped tier 3 and 4 down to about 4 or 5 points and used the rest elsewhere, as the lower points in each tier give the highest rewards

i think you could take them down to 0 and still be fine though, i know other people have and been fine
