is there any use for power setting above 100?

Hi all,

i read that for weapons for instance u do the listed damage of a weapon if ur power is 50%
and dublble when ur set to 100%

for me iin an escort if i put full power to weapons, i get the bouns and my energy lvl (the green) is above the maxsimum setting in a way that gray area is also lit.

is there any benefit to having this setting that results in over 100 in the setting or is it just a waste of energy and id better set it to 100 and save the power for other systems?

Its x3 regen at 125, That's what it says in the loading screen tips.
This is for all systems.

I usually have my shields set to around 90 and them use Emergency power to shields to make it 125,
Weapons are just the same but with the related moves.

125 makes a big difference. in your case, you will do more constant and longer DPS, this is always a good thing for an Escort cappy

Just find the right moves to help you find a balance in the points.

Weapons power up to 125 increases Damage from your weapons. Above 125 (which is not listed) the only difference is the power drain. Let's say you have 150 weapons power (still listed as 125) then you power drain will "start" there and your DPS will increase.

There has been reports that the drain-thing isn't workin' right now, I'm don't know if it's bug or if they've changed it.

Easiest way to test this yourself is to hang in space, open your skills window (default P) and watch the numbers change on your skills and weapons with different power settings.

In case you dont know, you can adjust the settings manually by selecting the third view setting on your power level window and fiddle with the sliders.
