I like the Vorcha -- Where is it going in a hurry? Obviously to go fetch the Gorn Screenshots. :p
I like the Debris field as well.
However, I am not really liking the Science Station. I like the buildings, but I am a little worried about the amount of 'alien plant-life' we are seeing. The plants seem 'too exotic' and from what I can recall, not really inline with the types of greens dressing we saw on the sets in the series. I think the plantlife needs to be reined in a little - just my opinion.

Maybe it's after the D' deridex pic that Craig mentioned on Twitter...

I like to be made to feel that I'm in a unreal and fantastical setting when I'm experiencing an environment that's supposed to be unreal and fantastical.

I think that was due to budget constraints, not the fact that alien plant life shouldn't look "odd" It'd be a bit strange to find out that all the vegetation on other worlds, is the same as you get in North America

It is not so much that it is too 'alien', but rather that it is too 'whimsical' -- like something you'd expect to see in 'Alice in Wonderland', rather than Star Trek. Maybe 'gaudy' is a better adjective.
I agree they should look different from earth, but not so different that it almost seems like a fairy tale (ie Giant Mushrooms, pumpkins, Vegetables, etc)
For the most part, I like the various landscapes we saw in the Series - budget constraints or not.
Another approach I hope they take into consideration is the lighting effect of different color stars. For example, the same screenshot should look different if the Solar body was Red, white, blue, etc.

Great screenshots... love the detail. Except... the Vor'cha. Maybe the angle of the screenshot just makes it look very strange, but it seems like the ship is squished together length wise and and the front Y thing is way to big for the ship. Vor'Cha's are supposed to be long ships, with the Y thing at the front not sticking out to much on the side. Thankfully, I won't have to look long at the odd ship, after my phasers slice through its hull.

Nice new screens. Love the Debris field, can't wait to see what it looks like while actually playing the game.
If Debris fields are dangerous that could mean we will have collisions that will actually hurt our ships, much better than flying through space junk and bouncing off everything you hit.

I remember yesterday their was a thread about the amount of debris in the screenshots, and this latest batch seems to continue the tradition.
But its excusable, because the screens look great.
We've scene a large amount of customization of Starfleet vessels, yet, all the Klingon ships seem to be in standard configurations.

Got to agree with both.
I know I will like the game, but it is certainly gaudy giving me the impression the game is being designed for kids needing instant gratification. Here's hoping it will be for adults, (no, it's too far in for me to start playing EVE).

Very nice. That one planet with the wreckage circling the planets o-zone looks intrsting. Perhaps the planet that no one should venture to, because it's a ship killer? Hey, one can dream cant we? LOL!!
The look of the game is very, very nice. Cant wait to fly my ship through it!

'Very intereting pictures-great detail of what we will find once ingame. I liked the second picture showing what looked like a battle with space junk floating around a planet.
That brings a question about that kind of space junk-is any of it salvagable? Could it be beamed on board your ship and used?

Was sort of bummed to not see the Gorn screenshots Craig/Zinc teased about in the Dev Chat.
I am actually getting more interested in seeing how the Artwork is flowing in motion (aka video). Screenshots can be staged to look overly flattering.
I would like to see some more 'active' screenshots -- maybe like a 5 second snip of that Vorcha cruising through space, or a 5 second snip of the Klingon Sabatours setting explosives.
It is 2009. Shouldn't Media be a little more advanced than static screenshot format from 2000?
[ducks as web designer throws pen-mouse] :D

well there's one more ship in the books. The Vor'cha sort of had to be int he game though, way to iconic to leave out. And the planet with debris is also very interesting and raises some interesting questions abotu resourcing in the game. Still I'm with Lokeii I'd like some little mini videos maybe to accompany the ship of the line updates so we can see these ships in (all be it brief) action.

Wow, picky picky picky. Seems like everyone is a critic. A comment was made stating that most of the Klingon vessels seem to all be standard issue. It's a safe bet that Klingon (or any other faction) ships will be customizable the same as the Feds. No doubt you'll be able to start off with a standard Bird of Prey or Vorcha and then be able to change the wing design, engine location ect. ect. Given time, I'm sure the devs will post a pic of their totally customized Klingon cruiser which will probably be so customized one will be hard pressed to guess what it was modelled off of to begin with. My bet is, the devs are holding back; giving us a taste of whats familar before they show us the radically crazy designs they dream up.
As for the planetary landscapes, here I think the devs took the exact opposite approach. Showing us some of the more exotic places rather than giving us the typical forrest. They've shown us some pretty cool landscapes; Hatoria (ice), a few interior shots, an almost fairytale like landscape with massive mushrooms, don't forget the Galaxy-class bridge shots in the trailer and there was a screenshot somewhere that showed a starfleet officer on a desert like planet with an overturned shuttlecraft somewhat hidden in the distance...my point is with all of the possible variations on planetary landscapes, vegetation, alien races, architechture and with what we've seen so far, I have complete faith in the devs ability to successfully reproduce a typical earth environment when the time comes.
Definately getting the game. And if I have to get a new computer after I buy the game just so I can play it, then so be it.

I am intrigued to know how they will handle away missions. I presume that landing zones will be a limited territory similar to the areas in Knights of the old republic where you can explore within the boundary of the zone, but not beyond the edges. Otherwise we would be able to land anywhere on a planet and wander about, which i think is beyond the scope of a game that is focused on space. However, i will be pleasantly surprised if i am wrong and we can just land on a planet and wander. One of the things that I find limiting about EVE online is the inability to leave our ships and meet in the starport bar for some gossip and a cocktail. This game has the potential to be all that EVE is with the ground game as well. I cant wait to see how they present the ground encounters.

If its possible to deactivate them, im happy! Im wondering what the final lightning will look like. so far everything is bright. hope there will be some sort of moody shadowing... it´s still a long way till the release. so everything will turn out nice! I HOPE!!!
