I started playing STO when it first came out and I was somewhat impressed with what they had done at launch. After I realized the lack of content at the time (I knew it was still the beginning of the games life hence I didnt count the game out), I then decieded to take a break from the game back in march but I still lurked the forums.
I saw the great improvements with Season two and started my monthly sub back up and was blown away at how much the game had changed for the better. The weekly episodes are amazing, this is exactly what this game needs untill some more bigger content can get fleshed out. The new ship retrofits are also a nice way to add diversity to endgame ships.
I applaud the Devs for their trust and willingness to post ideas and work in progress screen shots about new content and how much they really do value feedback from the player base. I have seen more positive Dev posts on the STO forums in a day than I have seen Dev's from other MMO's that I have played post in a month.
And so this morning I changed my subscription from monthly to lifetime. Because I now believe this game will be here for a very long time and my money is well spent for a good investment.
so I hope my fellow Career Officers will welcome me into their numbers and I am also now looking for a really good fleet to join since I wll be here for the longhaul ;).
