Wife and I got here today to spend the day saturday at the convention with some of my fleet mates. Curious if anyone else is up here? If you are look me up on the floor tomorrow. I will be in a T-Shirt with a ship patch on it for the USS Wildcard and will be giving away free copies of STO.:D

Thats really a shame. Four of us have met up and run into about 20 people that play the game. The funny thing is they all said they do not come to the forums.
Anyway it has been a blast. I got a chance to speak with Chase Masterson for about 15 minutes as well as Max Grodenchik.
Also our group is composed on three of us from the Black Eagle Squadron. we are using this event to not just talk about our newly forming fleet but to also talk to people about STO in general. We have been handing out copies to the game to people that do not play but are interested, giving them a chance for free to try it out.
We will be postiong pictures after we all get home. Right now on a break until the "Ferengi Brothers" take the stage.
:D

I had been thinking about going, but decided $80-$180 just to walk in the door (depending on whether I want to actually be acknowledged as a human being by the staff), plus $300 in hotel room, and then anywhere from $40-$100 to shake hands with even the minor actors, or $100 per main event, and then God-knows-how-much more on food and merchandise, wasn't really worth it.

Dude you would have spent WAY to much..
I got two tickets for the Saturday event for $40 total. Got the hand shakes and the show for free. Did pay $300 for a really nice room for 2 nights but could have gotten by for less. Food and merchandise was of course something that varies per person.
However for those of us in our little group this was as much about meeting the people we enjoy STO with in person as it was about teh Convention. In fact we are already starting to plan our next get together attempt.
Sorry I did not get to meet more people here, it was a blast.

Methinks Computer.ed is admitting that he's a minor trek actor and got freebies going to the convention

That is definitely nowhere as much as what the website said it would cost. From what I read, the only "free" autographs would be if I paid for the $180 ticket to walk in the door.

Sorry not a minor actor, just do radio :D
Got to talk with Chase Masterson, and Max Grodenchik one on one for about 15 minutes each, also on a chance encounter bumped into Gowron and Martok. (They where in full costume and on their way to a brunch) Both really nice guys they talked with use and a few others for about 5 minutes before heading off to the event they where in.
Now I did not get any autoigraphs but then again I never understood the need for those so never bother.
