View Full Version : Have Vertion Particles gone Purple?

Just an observation, but I have not had a Vertion particle drop in weeks. I have been working in the clusters to level up all of my various Captains in crafting, and I have not received a single Vertion in that timeframe.

Have Criptic made them a Purple (Very Rare) anomaly in recent updates?

I noticed this too, if they aren't purple then the drop rate needs fixing.

It may be a bug, but I think' it's probably just matter of the nature of the random # generator. I've had weeks in trying to get that last unique parricle trace for the accolade for my characters. But that last particle turned out to be different for each of my characters. On 1 captain is was the Duderon, and yet on another Captain, I had 4 Duderons over the same time period.

I'm supporting the lack of Vertion Particle Traces. I havent had one drop in nearly 2 days.

It may be about time for Cryptic to devote someone for a day to review the loot tables across the game.

Its just bad luck. I got a Vertion particle just the other day and it was still blue.

Still might be a good idea to check. Even if its still blue, someone might have set the drop value wrong for it. Im also finding it quite difficult to find a vertion....havent had one drop in literally months while still getting the other 9. if the drop value is wrong, its still possible your lucky enough to pick one up.

I don't doubt that people are getting this as a loot drop, the issue I am having, is I haven't seen this one in ages. It used to be somewhat common, now I never see it.

I'm getting tons of veriton. I have about 12 sitting in my bank waiting for a rainy day. I can't find beta-tacyon traces tos ave my life. All of the particles in my bank are in double digits but the betas.

Sounds like we are both hitting the opposite side of the random number generator! I am seeing lots of those, and have a decent stack of other rares, just ZERO Vertion particles.

I tried agian last night, no dice!! :(

Maybe you should hop on a train to New Vertiform City?

I tried, but my Holodeck systems on my Intrepid class star ship are offline. My Conn officer was replicating a pot roast when the gel packs that control both of those system exploded. The roast was burned, and the holodecks all went offline.

Vertion is what I've been needing too....and having none too much luck.

I do know that it doesn't matter what cluster you are exploring. Currently, I'm in Afehirr because I need plasma, encoded, and tetryon...and thought I'd maybe pick up the vertions I needed along the way.

The exchange seems to be acknowledging that vertions have gone ultra rare...because the lowest price I've seen there for a single unit was over 300k.

Vertions are not ultra rare so much as they are very useful. Chronometric, Vertions, and Anti-Thorons always cost hundreds of thousands of credits because those are the ones used for very rare Mk 11 equipment. And you need 3 of them per.

Nobody got that, sadly.

I have found a Vertion particle every day for the last five days. I have nearly 10 of each of the 10 rare particle traces. There are probably chronological correspondences based on when those rare particles drop. Maybe something like a different one is likely to fall at a given time within the hour when you're scanning.

This isn't the first time I've heard this complaint... But unfortunately I agree that it's just that vertions are useful, since they are used for weapons.

I have probably around 50+ rare traces. And that's with using them regularly. I don't really save them.

The other night I got 5 traces in 15 minutes. Logged off, and the next day I got on and in the same nebula got two more in 5 minutes.

I think what you really need to do is incorporate trace scanning into everyday play, and not farm for them. I mean I farm, but if your looking for rare traces you should try and scan everyday in your dailies and missions in addition to the nebulas.

Still having issues with Vertion Perticles here, but I am learning to live with it. And yes I scan for traces on every mission I do, with all my captains, regardless of need.

Nobody got that, sadly.

um, read my reply to him :p . One of my favorite TNG episodes, I replied with trivial issues with the Voyager series.

Just a follow up on this, I found one Today in Zanes Expanse.
