Ok, I really want to know this as Im a massive ship geek. As we have noticed the game is getting better everytime a new patch comes along. Graphicly it is progressing really well, like the new DS9 and TNG Film uniforms.(They look spot on by the way guys.).

The only one gripe I have at the moment is the Federation ship details. They just dont look like the patterns seen from the movies and shows. Now I know DStahl did say we were getting some texture "updates", but what do you mean by updates.

Are we getting a new material, or are you just adding in more details. Its weird flying around the georgeous sector space and having the light reflect of your ship, but sometimes it brings out the little faults with the texture materials.

So my question is...what are the updates, and If possible could you show off some W.I.P shots if you have any.

I really dont mean to be a pain in the butt, but Im a major ship geek.

It would be cool to talk more about any updates in textures, but as far as I can recall offhand, Mr. Stahl said something along the lines of "it might not be an update on what you want" or so.. but any updates are good.

personally, I hope its about reducing scale of ships/bringing them in line (although that might mean a change in the combat system so.. who knows).

Making a thread every week about it will not help. I agree with you that the materials need adjusting and more variety but a Dev does not need to respond to take this idea into consideration or pass it along to the appropriate person. ;)

At least Feds get textures and stuff... KDF ships might only have two hull colours and no window options.
