The moves were fun to watch, I'd never used melee before because I didn't like having the only thing availble being batleths. Now I have 3 other choices.:)

I like this sword, too. A craftable version of It would be great. The Attack Moves are funny, good job cryptic.

Using the moves as the basis, I would like to see Rapiers, Katanas, and other Earth weapons added. Now only the graphics of the sword need to be created.

Some of the Tsunkatse Falchion moves are definitely Katana material. For example closing attack or slash from the belt. Other Falchion moves seam either too slow or brutish for Katana.
Another neat idea I think would be to enhance basic hand to hand combat. For example adding fallout style power fist for extra kinetic damage or some form of power glove that does additional energy type damage through shields. An anti-proton exploding palm strike Bruce Lee could be proud of perhaps?
Also may be engineers and sci officers could also have a skill (that doesn't affect BOs at least) that contributes to hand to hand combat in some way to catch up to tacs a bit.
I think hand to hand combat needs more love in genera just because of a fun factor.

Another thing is the auto-walk feature of attacking. One of the reasons i do not like the batleth is because I have to keep moving and attacking. The sword's auto chase as it were is a big plus and should be implemented on all melee weapons.

For those that don't know, the sword moves/actions were copied straight from Champions Online (which is fine, since Cryptic owns both games). That's one of the reasons it looks so cool - CO has had a lot of time to polish their animations.
And yes, I'd like a lot more swords. At least everything that's canon:
Claymore
Cutlass
Gladius
Katana
Nausicaan sword
Rapier
Yan

note a falchion should be notably more brutish than a katana, while it is curved it is meat cleaver a chopping sword meant for hacking, delimbing, and bashing hole in artmoe,t he point, and curve are refinements to a simple purpose, it is also flexible to aid in removability and usage. Overall fairly short, mid weight, very feasible for a star fleet officer.
I agree with the mek-leth proposal have it store like Worf had it in FC. not to amny aeth weapons, we don;t want to turn thsi into gladiator game based n earth mythology, that said, use earth stuff, twist the name, materials, and styling to other cultures, and everybody wins. Perhaps and Orion saber that is very clearly a cutlass or katana to the player, or give its a name that is new. Develop klingon sword more they have mele culture, i want a Yan sword like Duras and Kurn had in offices.
