View Full Version : Stoopid question regarding the Reman BO

So, here's the situation:
I ran "Cutting the Cord" last night, fine and dandy as you please, and I got the Reman BO as a reward. I commissioned and equipped him, only to belately realize that...well, I didn't really have any use for him. I've already got a parcel of Saurians for my sci duties, and I don't find him as cool-looking as my Breen BO (unintentional pun, hur dur). Still, I want to keep him in my BO recruitment bank, just as proof that I did the series the first time around.
My question is, if I discard my Reman BO and do "Cutting the Cord" on the replay, will I get another Reman BO? Or should I just wait for the featured episode replay weekend/another Reman to appear on the exchange?

The Reman (and the Breen) unqiue BO rewards are 'Bind on Equip' with a further restriction of limited to a 'unique' one per character. I've already check the mission 'replay', and the REMAN BO IS NOT OFFERED as a REPLAY REWARD. So your only choice is to Purchase on the Exchange (after discarding your exising one, as you can't purchase a Reman/Breen BO if you already have one, I tried, and it can't be done...) or wait for the Replay weekend (which could be months in the future)
Considering the going price for BOs with 'Transfer Shield Strength 3' in the Exchange, no doubt this will be a multi-million EC purchase....

The Reman BO isn't sellable on the exchange (at least it wasn't when I tried on Saturday night). Which I find to be craptastic, seeing as the Breen BO was sellable.

Hmmm, I've just confirmed that the Reman BO cannot be posted on the Exchange, or used as a Email Attachement... This makes the Reman BO much more 'Unique' and 'Limited' then the Breen BO... (I have 3 Breen BOs from Alts in Storage reserved for new characters... Can't do that with the Reman...)
Which brings up the question, just how good is the Reman??? Has anyone tried using him in combat yet??? Or is it better to use him to 'Train-Up' that hard to find 'Transfer Shield Strenth 3' skill....

He has some unique PSI abilities, so he's intereting in Ground combat. As for TSS III - you either get it on the Reman BO; or possibly on a random BO as you level up; or find an Engineer player character you trust that has the capability to train one of your BOs (requires trading the BO to him - he trains it and passes it back - hence the 'trust' situation.)

Nope, Engineers could train 'Emergency Power to Shields 3' (if properly configured). 'Transfer Shield Strength 3' is a Science Skill, and one of the few that can't be taught. So Very Rare, (and expensive) BOs for 'Train Up' Skill replacement is your only source for this...

I hope to God I kept my Reman's Transfer Shield Strength III skill and didn't just swap it for something else. I didn't realise it was a sought-after skill.
Oh dear.

I put my Reman in my away team and gave him a bunch of expose powers. Now I cant keep up with all the exposes Im getting. And when mobs run in for melee range he uses his purple bubble mind blast or whatever and sends them all flying. I think Ill be keeping him on away teams and giving the tac officer a split beam rifle.
