Now I am new to MMO's. STO is my first MMO so there are things I do not know. My subscription is ending tomorrow and the way the economy is right now a lot of players have to let their subscription lapse. I have the "Star Trek Online 12 Month Subscription Preorder" for $119.99. What I try to do was to buy a Retail Version of STO from Gamestop to add 30 days to my account. I figure by the end of this month I would be able paid for my subscription then.

Now here's the problem since I already had a Gamestop "basic" Key register to my account I couldn't use another "Gamestop basic key". Now if I would had got this key at another dealer like BestBuy that would have been OK.

Now being new to MMO I was not a where of this "policy" and since I have already open the box I couldn't return it. I ask if they could make an exception for customer satisfaction. A course the answer was no.

I've had problems with them too, I don't think the service of the game is very good.

But Stahl has done a good job of improving the game and communicating stuff

Stahl is great. It's Atari that screws everything up. I really like this game.

GHuy, please. NO discussion of the customer service on these forums. At all. Anything between them and you remains between them and you.

If you have questions or problems, follow up on your ticket, open a new one or contact the community team via ticket. The forums are never the place for this.

However, to comment on your concern:
The game boxes in most stores sell for a lot less than a months' subscription costs. The 30 days in a game are for a new customer to create an aco**** with and start out the game. It is not designed to be a work-around to adding game time. I am very sorry if you assumed that this is the case.
