For Sci Capt -- Advanced Escort (old or new) ... or stick with Defiant?

I'm currently debating using an advanced escort for my sci captain ... either the standard tac design or the sci deluxe model.

Right now ... She scoots around in a defiant class.

Are there any sci captains out there that fly either of the standard advance or its newer model that can share the pros or cons you see in both? ... Is it worth it over the Defiant?

It REALLY depends on what you expect from the ship.

If you just want pure damage dealing, basically an escort with only damage in mind, then I would stick with the defiant.

If you want something vastly more versatile, that can play with more science powers, and adjust it's power levels accordingly, then go with the MVAM.

There is no real answer to this, it's a matter of preference and play style.

I prefer the Defiant cause that cloak is invalueable.. Atleast in PvP.. In PvE it doesnt matter, use whatever you like

The MVAM is very easily the best escort in the game, if you don't use it you fail (along with a PSW) you fail at STO.

If all you do is pug though, the cloak on the defiant can come in handy.
