I've reproduced this problem on two of my characters, four different ship classes, and several instances of each ship. Can others on the LIVE server please follow the below steps and tell me if this affects them?
1. Get a new ship, either C-Store or from Shipyard.
2. Make the new ship your ACTIVE ship.
3. Change the name & registry number of the ship.
4. Using the ship tailor, change the bridge and interior to something other than the standard layout.
5. Visit the bridge and see if the NEW bridge/interior is active or not.
For me, the newly selected (and paid for) bridge/interior does NOT load.
Steps I've tried to resolve issue:
1. Decommission ship, and purchase new one of same type. Following above steps = same problem.
2. Purchasing different CLASS of ship. Following above steps = same problem.
3. Tried using C-Store ships. Again, same problem.
4. Tried exiting game, restarting computer, restarting game. Same problem.
Ships used:
-Advanced Research Vessel (tried three of em)
-C-Store Original Enterprise
-normal CMDR tier Research Vessel
-LTC tier science ship
Semi-successful resolution: change bridge BEFORE changing name & registry gives me 50/50 odds of that bridge remaining on the ship after the name change. However, after the name change, the interior/bridge cannot be changed. The new layout can be PURCHASED, but will NOT be active.
Lastly, the unique bridges that are specific to class (sci, tac, eng) do NOT show up the bridge list AFTER the name change.
Can anyone duplicate this using the steps above? Are there any known fixes or work-arounds?
