Hello, I am looking for some help.
With the changes to season 4 what is the best way to take down the borg boss. I tried 15 time last night with 4 diffrent teams and we could never make a dent in her. What is the best squad combination (3 tacts an eng, a sci, etc.). And what is the best type of weapon to use. (fast remodulater vs. DPS). Looking to take her out tonight and claim my transwap drive (warp 14 here I come!!!!!)
Thank you for any help.

Well at the momeent im seeing give or take only 1 attempt in maybe 6 or 7 being successfull
*Please note if your fleet has the "best stf team in the world, l2p noobs" please dont bother reading*
Quite frankly I aint even going to attempt it again till its remastered. Gozer the dev working on them said they would be most likely broken till the remastered one goes live.

With S4, Infected is probably the hardest of the STFs now. My success rate with PUGs is about 50%. I'd be happy to lend a hand if I am online (usually after 9pm PST). I can be any class, although probably eng or sci (healer) would be best.
And engineer with technician kit can tank Rebecca, but will need help with the respawns. Rebecca does not seem to adapt, so DPS weapons can be used. But you also want something with good range if she flies to another platform.

Do we know if the remastered version will still have the transwarp drive as its prize?

I think the ideal set up is 2 Tac, 2 Eng, 1 Sc. Use cover shields to block line of sight from other borg. You can also use the shield to block line of sight from the queen so she cant fry the team.
You can not use any pets, so no turrets, generators, sec teams, drones, and everyone needs to turn off auto fire.
Medic will pretty well be busy the whole time healing and rezzing people. When borg spawn that shoot at you, the tac and eng officers need to switch to those instead as with ground combat 2.0, you cant take borg and queen shooting at you. If someone gets the ring and continues to shoot, its pretty well game over, which is why i say no auto fire.
I have had most sucess fighting her on the back wall where the alcoves used to be.

Yea the STFs right now are not even worth pugging.
Ive only beat infected one time with a PUG, and it was because the queen glitched and flew behind the respawn gate allowing us to attack her close to the respawn point. (don't ask why she did that, I still have no idea why she glitched) She also didn't drop any loot, but I was just happy to finish the thing.

Not necessarily. The Cure and KA are now EASIER to PUG with season 4. I've done cure now in 35 min, and KA in hour and 45. I 've done the last gate of cure with only a 3-man team, and second to last gate with only 4.

You mean the final remastered version with the "normal" and "elite" settings? There really hasn't been any specifics about the loot, or whether the borg set will be given for normal or elite. Right now, you can still get those engines. And the remastered STFs are at least a month or 2 away.
I'm also in the process of getting new ground gear. Thinking about getting a shield and armor with plasma resist or AP resist. The borg use plasma, but Rebecca uses antiproton. And I just confirmed last night that Armek from Cure also uses antiproton.

Infected right now is the hardest. Sadly KA which used to be the hardest tactics wise with the two gates is now ridiculously easy. If you don't have your engines yet you might be better off waiting til the re-mastering is done.

I agree that infected is harder now but I actually enjoy it the most my last run was relatively easy it took 2 or 3 attempts because my engineer set up generators for himself and no one else... in the end I just went with it stood on the same platform and we managed to pretty much 2 man her with me spamming every single buff I could find in my very rare mark X squad leaders kit and him putting a cover shield between us I have to say that kit vs rebecca is deadly.
if anyone wants some more info on tactics I've used successfully check the other infected thread on the first page of this sub-forum I've gone into detail on how I've done it.

When I last did the mission a week or so ago, the tactic we used made it a breeze.
As you enter the room, stop on the ramp for a moment to pick off some Borg to your left and right, then advance to the middle platform. Clear out the room, and then send your three jumpers, starting at the SE and working counterclockwise. The two in the middle take care of adds beaming in.
When your jumpers reach the SW platform, the people in the middle jump over to join them. You then destroy the generator from a distance. While Rebecca comes out and is speaking, have an engineer raise a cover shield facing her and the general center of the room.
So long as the person with the blue circle stays behind the cover shield, line of sight with Rebecca is broken, and she'll just float around until the circle is reassigned. Keep the target behind the shield and she basically doesn't fight; your only worry is adds. It was cake once we tried it this way.

Had succes but not all the time. Anyway, best I saw was 4 tac's aganist rebecca using Fire Kit. Everyone used their debuffs and inside of 45 seconds her 25k health was gone. I was sci and gave the nanites and the (cant think of name) blue dome that hurts. By far the easiest.

welll not sure what the difference is on fed side my fleet ran infected in about 40 minutes no problem but on KDF side my fleet cant beat her in the end she seems more powerfull on kdf side, we can get her down about 50% a bit less maybe and thats all, so for us fed side was no big problem , kdf side, we cant seem to beat her, and i have ran infected prob over 100 time and a fellow fleelie and prob ran it 100 times himself to so we have the experiance so any ideas would be great

i found it easy as heck.
the more sci the less death
all stand together she gets in melee range the tacs mess with her and whatever engi are there wep malf and mines and transphasic bomb
sci's spam medic kit. team can for the most part out heal her aslong as everyone keeps an eye on hp.
did mission about dozen since season 4 only didnt complete 2 times.

I've not tried doing Infected since season 4. Prior to season 4 i completed the first part but then we got disconnected fromthe server getting into the second part. Now i'm a bit confused at how to continue it, prior to season 4 i would sit at the planet and ask around if anyone would want to join in at that point, but now post seaosn for what do i do? Is there a queue for continuing it or what?

There is no que (yet).
There are 3 stopping points in infected. There is the beginning, there is the start of the ground part, and there is the ground part AFTER you defeat Capt Ogen. Check your mission log to see which parts you have completed. If you did the first space part, you should either be on "Fact or Fiction" or "Deeper into the Mystery". When you fly to the Siberian system, the pop-up should say "Continue: fact or fiction" or "Continue: deeper into the mystery" (or something to that effect). All players on your team need to be at the same part of the mission in order for you to play together and get credit. If you can't find a team that is starting at the same part as you, you can drop the mission, and pick it up again from the start.

So do i have to mess about with queues to continue it or just go to the system as normal and look for some people at the same point? It's fact or fiction that i'm up to.

Just fly up to the system. You should have a pop-up window to continue your mission. Type in zone chat that you are looking for Infected group for Fact or Fiction. However, I have to say that this is the least common place for people to start. Most people will either be from the beginning, or from Deeper into the Mystery (because they couldn't kill the final boss). If you can't find a group, I would just drop it and pick it back up from the beginning.
