View Full Version : Otha Zone 1 Bugged

Otha - Ground War Zone #1 is really bugged.
There are dozens of Science Dampening fields litering the instance and not disappearing, and causing severe lag. And there are some people capitalizing to farm Very Rare Ground Weapons.

Yes, confirm went there for the daily and it has thouse dampening field that make the mission impossible to play.. and the fact that the reward its MK XI very rare also make the mission easy to exploit.

I am lower level and there is no rewards given. Dampening fields all over the place, glitches video card.

I feel like we need to be sing about little bubbles! It's really bad on Otha right now. Making it practically impossible to play.

And it was our favorite Ground PvP map since season 4 as well.

It was a favourite before the latest season as well.
2 things needs fixing for the Otha System map to work.
1. Prevent the Dampening fields from remaining up indefinitely.
- See previous posts in this thread for more details. GM Ticket #1167882
2. Balance out the awarded points between the beamed up scientists and the uploading of the virus.
- Rescuing the 5 scientists rewards less then uploading the virus 4 times. This needs to be the same amount of points or the other way around. It takes more work to kill the Borg then it takes to destroy the turrets. Plus people are camping the turrets until someone else have taken the time to rescue the scientists (Which requires as I mentioned earlier more work to do). Then they uploads the virus 4 times before the one who did the hard work even reaches them. Thus winning every time.
Why did this turn out this way you may wonder? It's because of the new Borg and having to remodulate every 5 seconds to be able to continue to damage them. The turrets doesn't need remodulating so they are easy.

These domes started showing up in The Cure (LTG KDF instance) last night as well. We only had one Sci with us and although it wasn't me from what I could tell the domes weren't just not fading out after the timer had finished but were in places the domes had never been raised: for example at the second gate there were several domes even though the dampening field wasn't used there and they were scattered at various intervals around the map. They didn't seem to have the really bad lagging effect that they have in Otha though even though they looked identical.
