Was there a change made to the pathing in the background of season 4? Has anyone else noticed:
1) npcs that before seemed to walk ok, now seem to cluster up in certain obstacles
2) try to jump over said obstacles and generally fail to do so.
3) phase through objects

Additionally BOff pathing seems...wonkier then before. They were working pretty well, but it seems that now, the transporter isn't materializing their brains like it used to. I have had trouble with them following me through published missions, almost like it was at the initial launch of the Foundry all over again.

Yea everything is extremely off. I walked into 2 bases and had all the NPC's standing on tables. There was one mission where I had my Boffs deciding to path up over houses in the environment.

Hmm I did notice my Boffs running around a bit bt I put that down to the map. It's a small bug I can cope with but it will be interesting to see how bady it effects other missions.

I still shoot through walls though

Same here. I imagine, after the foundry is open again, a quick republish will fix these pathing issues.

I also noticed that a bunch of the NPCs that were supposed to stay still were wandering around my map.

This is taking place in more then just the foundry though.

Fire Caves required some serious micro managing of my BOs. They either hung somewhere, decided to stop walking and not follow me anymore with no visible obstacle in their way or committed suicide by jumping into the lava.

I actually had it in non-foundry missions too, the "Tears Of The Prophets" one to be exact. Strange as hell. They didn't even respond properly to AMT.

I noticed this last night when testing a map. On the generic federation interior the boffs seem to have trouble going through the doors.

Kassae Station is pretty bad. Seems worse since S4. I'll try a republish later today but I'm doubtful this will help.

If you are playing a map in preview, you will always experience bad pathing, as the pathing isn't created until publishing.

Problem is Zero, the pathing issues I was running into was in my published mission. They were also wonky right after S4 dropped, but then the Foundry went down and I didn't really try and play any missions until yesterday.

Have you guys ever considered placing a "Do Pathing" command somewhere so we don't have to publish and withdraw the map to get decent pathing? This way one could let it to do the pathing and doesn't have to worry about forgetting to withdraw the mission and getting angry reviews.

I am talking about the published mission. Go try it: ST-HO39X8MNZ.

We've discussed it, but it's non-trivial and almost useless, because it would have to be done every single time you preview.

And to everyone else, yes I know you were talking about published missions -- I was replying to the single post that referenced pathing while testing a map. :)
