Volume is set at max but I can hardly hear STO

OK not sure if this is the right place but I will ask.

Got all volume settings in STO set at max, got my windows volume and speakers/headphones (tried both) set at max. I have any other programs (wmp, itunes, teamspeak) set at 10% volume so as not to deafen me. I can hardly hear STO. Even when not using these other programs STO is really quiet even though all settings and volumes are maxed. Any ideas?

Just to check, do you have Vista or Win7? If you open the full volume mixer is STO at the same level as the system volume?

Yes, check your MIDI and Vave volume settings on the mixer.
