Additional Bridge Proposal

We've started to see bridges made by Cryptic for most of the ships like the Star Cruisers, Recently a remake of the Galaxy, Intrepid, and Defiant bridges for the retrofits. But one bridge I would like to see in-game belongs to the Excelsior Class. There is a lot of them out there. and I'm quite sure some of the people who fly them would like to see the bridge of the Excelsior Class to fit rather than having to use something that doesn't fit quite well at all.

There are so many different ships with a bridge that fits. I'd like to see the Excelsior get one too.

I agree with this fully 100%, especially for something like the Hood bridge.

Maybe even to make these layout changes carry through to other ships, for example the Galaxy and the Intrepid bridges have a lot of unused doors. So corridors, "uesless" rooms and other offices for your BOffs (and XO/Department Heads when the DOff system goes live) could all be really nice to see, and make Interiors fun again. Then all you need to do is bring the ceiling back down to just over 2 meters high :p

That is NOT the bridge of the U.S.S. Hood that was commanded by Robert DeSoto on TNG. That is the Enterprise-B's bridge (I think it was also Sulu's Bridge). I do want to see it added, however. I would also like to see the original Excelsior bridge from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (That was Captain Style's Bridge).

Would look TONS better then the current crappy bridges Cryptic did. Well I did like the KDF bridges but the Feddy bridges look meh imo. That design there is a winner tho!

The "DeSoto's bridge" from the Hood was actually a redress of the Romulan Warbird set (later used as the Enterprise C, and a few times in DS9, starting as the bridge of the Saratoga, then the Odyssey and a few times as a cargo/civilian ship). But yes, it's a nice bridge that could be nice to play. Maybe when the Ambassador class comes out?

I would love to be able to access my Conference Room from the Bridge though, so hopefully :)

Well actually, one of the bridges that needs the most attention is the Intrepid class. And of course the Defiant Bridge, should look like http://www.startrekequilism.com/wiki/images/6/6b/Defiantbridge.gif but looks like http://www.stowiki.org/images/thumb/c/ca/Defiant_Fore.jpg/711px-Defiant_Fore.jpg (and of course the C-Store ones; http://www.startrekonline.com/dyncontent/startrek/uploads/feddefiant_01.jpg). Either too big or missing consoles. The Galaxy on the other hand is almost perfect, A little on the large side but other than that almost perfect, and of course a new C-Store one will be coming with the properly scaled corridors etc. Which will be awesome :)

But yes, these are all things that should be improved upon and even if they're more C-Store, I would like to see them in-game :)

More bridge ideas!

I know we already have a Sovereign Bridge pack. I do like it but no offense, it just looks to be more of a Star Explorer redress to me. But if we had something like this:

It would be good. The actual Sovereign Class bridge. Minus the two most forward bridge consoles. The Sovereign is longer than a Galaxy but nearly half the size. Deep down she shouldn't have a bridge that looks like it should be on a Star Cruiser.

Well actually, the Sovereign bridge pack never got officially "released" and I forget how it ninja'd it's way in there. But I do remember them saying that they're working on a properly scaled Sovereign and Galaxy bridge set/interior so that should be fun :)

I'd like the Connie Refit bridge from ST2. I always like the submarine feel of it, and the fact it's my favourite bridge design.

The Miranda bridges are close.. But I know exactly what you're talking about. The Bridges of the Enterprise (Refit) and the U.S.S. Reliant. are nice ones. A good classic feel to the old work horses would be nice

That would be a bug report rather than an additional bridge idea there, Red. Infact I think I seen a thread where the Bridge Clones are mentioned.

My bridge idea would be adding a corridor to the conference room out the back of each bridge opposite to the respective turbo lift. And Im sure we all want to see the character placement soon.

Again, that's not really a part of this but I agree those features would be very useful. Maybe when the customizable interiors come in we might be able to add to the bridges anyway and do all this, though we'd need dev input, or to wait until closer to season 5
