View Full Version : Bank is full of anoms.

Transfered all the anoms. I have for crafting over to 1 alt and his bank is now full, even with buying extra slots.

In the upcoming addition of adding crafting to ship interiors, is there a possibility of adding a "cabinet" (such as in SWG) for storing these, or even in the machine itself, which works like the "bank" and enables not having to have these in inventory to complete the crafting process?

Have to admit, I believe I'd even "buy" this from the C-Store.

It's data. You should be able to store it in your computer core :)

To touch up on what has been posted prior by others...

I too feel there should be an alternate way to store data samples. It just doesn't seem right that a data sample should take as much room as some body armor or a beam array and with how many of each are needed per recipe to craft one item, it adds to the annoyance factor of them taking up so much space. I feel they should all be able to be stored in your ship's Science/Medical Lab on your ship, accessible by one of the consoles. Allow for crafting to withdraw directly from the Science/Medical storage/computer instead of the bank. Make it only hold data-samples and schematics and have no maximum limit on the storage of these two types of items.

This way, it can also be conceived that most of the data samples are "data" stored in the computer and accessed in Medical. As well, it also allows for the conceiving of storing schematics, which are as well just bits and bites of data.

So, basically:

Separate Data-Samples & Schematics from the bank.
Make them only store-able in your inventory and in your ship's medical computer.
Make the Medical Computer accessible anywhere you can hail your ship!
Make the samples and schematics withdraw directly from your Inventory and Medical Computer instead of your Inventory and Bank.
Infinite Data & Schematic storage in the Medical Computer (or at least one that is really high to start - at least VA bank size).

Though have you tried storing these 'Data Samples' in Email attachments??? This is were all of my spare stacks go for long term storage...

I transfer them to cash, and buy any I need when it's time to craft. Schematics are also a good investment for low level anoms, you know you need certain equipment convert the lowers to items. Aside from storing in the mail, how about storing some stacks on noncrafter characters?

Also re-evaluate what else is in your storage taking up space.

It's nice to say it's data and should be in the computers memory, but that's a Trek thing, not a game mechanic. Why should data be different from food items or items in general? It's all a currency that my replicator could use to make the items that are desired.

You don't need to store the samples in your inventory, your personal bank is sufficient. Crafting items will take it out of your personal inventory and your bank both. And of course, on Memory Alpha at least, you can move quickly to your bank if that's an issue.

But if you're out of those - consider selling them on the Exchange. If you'd rather keep them, offer them at an inflated price. If someone buys them, you get extra ECs to buy you anomalies for reasonable prices, and if no one buys them, they will eventualy be returned to you via a mail. And you can just keep them stored there.

It would be nice if one could also set fleet members as "Crafters" that have special access to all anomalies in the fleet bank to craft stuff without needing to take it out there.

A bank completely full of anomalies? How do you manage that? Stacks of 250 take a long time to create, and you've filled a bank with stacks of 250? And you aren't using them?

You should seriously sell them; you'll make quite a bit of EC.

Stacks and stacks of 250 each. Of every anom. in the game. Rares to stacks of 60. I keep these for people who are coming over to the game from SWG so I can help them out in the leveling process. In SWG, I had a full bunker (1400) items of crafting resources dating back to CU. Yes, I farmed alot, both there and here.

Did you do the C-Store Extra Storage Space the 4 Allowable times? Total of 48 Extra spaces can be had Per Toon.

Open yourself an alt fleet and begin storing in the fleet bank tabs.

How many will be enough for you though? Only farm if your going to use or sell or give away or X Y and Z but not for the sake of farming untill they make it fun imo.

p.s. I'm open to donations lol

Feel free to craft me an Aegis set for my Kling alt as well as some MK IV consoles, I'll take 2 Eng, 2 Sci and 4 Tac, prefer +cannons and +projectiles for the Tacs, the Sci/Eng can be at your discretion for a BoP. :P :)

Is there a Minimum Number of people to create a Fleet? or is just One sufficient??

You need 5 friends. You cannot start a fleet alone.

I gave quite a few stacks to a "fleety" the other day who was bringing up a crafter so I have a few spaces now.

I have a friend in-game now that I've built level 2-8 equipment for his leveling process along with my alts and others that I have done this with in the past. Just makes it a bit easier on them coming from a game where their already max level and been that way for years. With all the "bad" things people have heard of SWG, the community was 1 of the largest assets, and that is something I wish to continue over here, also. People helped me, large, when I got started, over there, and I now return the favor, even in another game.

I know about the mail/storage deal. But SWG made me kinda leary of that 1 also. The mails were really never designed to carry that much and SOE ended up coming up with an auto-delete system for mails, which I would imagine that Cryptic will have to do here, at 1 time or another.

A simple "fix" with a cabinet for anom storage, when crafting goes inside ships should surfice for all concerned.

For all those that want "freeby" equipment; I do this mostly for old guildys that were in my guild in SWG, and even then at Mark XI equipment, I ask them to go farm rares. There is no sence in taking intended gameplay completly away from them, and by that time, they are looking for more to do and showng them how to farm their own anoms, is good practice for bringing up their own crafting skills.

If you have managed to utterly entirely fill you bank slots with crafting mats...

DUDE! You need something else to do besides sitting in exploration clusters and gathering mats!!!!

Honestly... try another game for awhle!

Roll up some Klingon toons and send them mats so they can have top end gear every time they level...

right up there with the folks that have millions apon millions of E-creds... why?

Really.. If your addicted to gathering anomalies then craft entire ships sets worth of weapon and give to fellow fleet emembers.. Make ground weps, kets, armors, give those to fleet members

......in other words... don't sit on 'em... USE EM!

Actually, KIH, I had thought of a very similar list to resolve the problem.
