Aid the Planet no reward

Had the problem in Delta Volanis.

BUG:

No Mission Drop for Aid the Planet Mission

Description:

Skills, Merits and DXP was the only reward, no item drop.

I just completed my first Aid the Planet mission, and all I received was Diplomacy XP, Merits and skill points. There was no item drop.

1. Complete an Aid the Planet mission.

Really hoping this is a bug, and not the "new" way these missions will be working.

I don't know if it's a bug or if they just removed the commodity rewards for those missions. Since the commodity rewards usually wound up being consoles and weapons and the new system wants you to buy those for dilithium at spacedock, I wouldn't be surprised if they took it out. Also, I'm wondering if we'll (eventually) be getting dilithium for doing those instead of the commodity rewards. I could live with that, but not getting anything leaves no incentive for aiding planets (we're not really the Federation, where we think helping is its own reward, we're gamers. :p)

You all need to be sure exactly what you have in your inventory when completing an Aid the Planet. If you are expecting to get a crate that you can right-click/use to get an item... the game does not do this anymore. It automatically resolves the item for you and places it in your inventory.

If you have not been paying attention to what you have been picking up, the reward could be easily missed, especially since the game shows that you are getting a crate when turning in the mission.

When this happened to me my first thought was that I didn't get anything, and with all the reports, I would say that I probably didn't. However, I cannot say for sure because I don't know what I actually had in my inventory before I turned in the mission for the reward.

I do know one thing though. It doesn't really matter whether I received a reward or not. Even if I did get a reward, my perception is that I didn't. This alone is reason enough to change how the Aid the Planet reward is handled. Bottom line, the game needs to give us what the reward screen shows we are getting. Otherwise, we have no clue what to look for when we open our inventory -- to check whether or not we actually received it. Also, what was wrong with having to right-click/use the crate we received to claim our item? To me this did not need to be changed.

When the mission completes it displays text on everything 'earned' at mission resolution. I listed all of the text items that displayed when the mission was over. There is no item drop, crated or otherwise. All that is currently given is Diplomacy XP, Merits and Skill Points.

I concur that not all missions that should have "a level appropriate item" are not dropping. Some do show in inventory as a new item some don't. I think we need to have it spelled out in the summary of the mission what was given, esp for those of us who do not keep the most accurate inventories.

Same here, no rewards from Aid the Planet, nor the Eploration missions (ie; explore 3 systems in X cluster).

To be sure I wasn't getting something that was stacking onto other items I already had in my inventory, I kept my inventory open and finished an aid the planet and there was absolutely nothing new added to my inventory. I continued to do a few more aid the planets the same way and nothing in the inventory.

Yep That is the Answer! I was suspecting this to be a problem, "Not Getting the AIP Reward", so I did just that. I Opened my Inventory Panel Prior to Giving out the Goods. I saw the 10 Items Disappear, and another Item Appear, just for an instant, and Immediately Get Cashed In right before my Eyes.

The Pay Out is in fact Issued, and the Cashing in is now done Automatically, unlike before, where we needed to click USE to get the item revealed.

Yeah, but there's no item, period, for Aid the Planet missions. No box, no thing, no nothing. It's not flashed across the screen as one of the mission-complete rewards, it's not listed in the chat box, and literally no items appear in the inventory.

I did and Aide the Planet Today, and as has been mentioned by others, there was No Award of Item. I had my Inventory open as before, and the only issue was 10 XP Points, and 4 BO Training Points. No Crate, No Items Appearing in Cargo Slot.

Ive done 10 or more aid the planet missions, not one has rewarded an item and only skill/boff points...

To be honest though, id rather have the value of the level appropriate item in dilithium ;)

I did and Aide the Planet Today, and as has been mentioned by others, there was No Award of Item. I had my Inventory open as before, and the only issue was 10 XP Points, and 4 BO Training Points. No Crate, No Items Appearing in Cargo Slot.

I did this also, keeping my inventory open and locking eyes on it, nothing "flashed", no as-usual box appeared, no anything appeared then disappeared, so....
I'm kinda sticking with "no reward for Aid the Planet missions" thing...

Also seems they've removed the dilithium rewards from the exploartion dailies as i didn't get any yesterday or today despite having done all the dailies available to me.

On your first point, yes I too in the beginning levels had no ec to buy items for the aid the planet missions, should really be looked into!

Second point, you only get dilithium for the exploration daily appropriate to your level, you get none for the others.
I hope this is a bug as every explore should award dilithium :(

Regarding this, I did not see this on the Gold/Silver matrix, is it in another Text area??

Also, is the 200K a Cumulative Total, or a One Time Gift to Planet?

Sad that Cryptic putting things to the C-Store rapid fire that my joke was taken as serious.

But how they are putting everything on the C-Store, it wouldn't surprise me if mission rewards got put there before long.
