Doing some Tribble testing, and in DS9 ops, there is a Boff requisition contact. He offers lots of blue boffs for Dilithium, and they don't have a single untrainable ability between them... but there is also a "C-Store" tab... Where you can buy a Aenar Engineer that happens to know AtoSIF3...

Not a very big deal, but definately worth mentioning.

I should also mention that T3 ships in the C-store are very convenient... as when you rank up to Cmdr you don't get enough Dilithium to buy a T3 ship, but have to grind for it...

On a positive note; the Dilithium grind is going to kick some life back into low level PvP, as PvP now pays Dilithuium on all ranks! :)

In the sense of equality for the factions, where is the KDFs Cstore special BOff? We have no Aenar to buy.
I do not mind having to buy new BOffs (especially blue or purple ones) from the Requisistion Contact, but if they are going to charge for them-those high quality BOffs need to have some hard to find abilities to entice me to part (with what looks to be rare) dilithium.

On a positive note; the Dilithium grind is going to kick some life back into low level PvP, as PvP now pays Dilithuium on all ranks! :) This is the first positive thing I heard this morning.

It's not coming. It already exists. Check your C-Store for the BOFFs. IIRC, the description states where to use the token to get these BOFFs, and if you visit that vendor, you should see a similar C-Store tab with similar options. (Actually, I believe it's the regular BOFF vendor?) Check the Exchange as well, you'll see some of these Aenar and Caitans on there.

Only thing missing so far are Efficient BOs. :p


I am also pretty sure this topic of P2W was brought up back then as well. But then, most people ignored it. It seems it takes a while for it to register what it really means for the game, and thanks to that, the game can safely churn along in that direction.

Good news, everyone!

PvP rewards are still limited by Dailies, so don't worry, no AFK Dilithium Grinder has to grind more than 3 matches per day, so things don't get worse then now!

Also, you don't have to bother that much with PvP anyway, since you won't get any Merits or 5th Level Badges or similar stuff anymore either... (not sure about EC).

Don't have to worry about PVP? I don't care if cryptic gives me 1million EC or nothing at all to do a PvP match I'll still do it beacause it's the only thing I REALLY like in this game :)

The real Pay 2 Win is that Vice Admiral ships will only be available for Cryptic Points. :p

What is the current state of the per-match rewards? Do we still get EC? And do we get dilithium per match, just like we get medals per match now?

Yes, and the INABILITY for KDF to buy C-Store BOff's with Aux2SIF3 has existed for just as long...

You can get an Aux2Sif3 boff for like 500K or whatever.

As of now, in the lower levels (anything below RA) you can earn a maximum of 1440x3 Dilithium a day. There are 3 daily missions; Explore 3 systems, do 3 Foundry missions, and a 3xPvP match daily. If it pays EC or anything else I dunno.

With dilithium being so valuable at all tiers, and even neccessary to get new ships, I expect people will use all opportunities to get it.

Are you earning Refined Dilithium or Ore? Because the limit on refining 8K per day will gate all farming.

Inflation happens like in real world. it should happen again like it does now with EC. The prices are relatively stable now. Stupid junk costs 1 ec and good weaponary costs 50+M. I dont see a problem ^^

Are you certain of the explore systems limit (it seems to be 1/zone)? I did T'ong and another zone today, though no dilithium offer for the 3rd exploration zone. Also, you left out the Lore rewards. KDF have small 400 dilithium for doing their versions of DSE. Also, you can return 3 Doffs for 250 dilithium/day. But, yeah it's a forced grind which I'm not a fan of (too much so on KDF side imo).

FYI, for KDF currently you can't get Sci Team or Haz Emitters among other skills as they're not on the base 3 Boffs and not offered by the white Boff sales. They haven't been offering Boffs as you rank up. Though I guess you could have a chance to get 1 through the Doff system. But, after a couple of days on the KDF side I haven't gotten any Boffs through that.

Oh, I just compared the service prices in the Test-Store vs the Holodeck Store:

Bridge Officer Slots get cheaper (by half to 200 C-Points).
Retrain Tokens get more expensive (almost twice as costly, 780 instead C-Points).

Seems the Tier 5 ships price is also going up - interesting 1,600 C-Points for the Excelsior Retrofit, but the MVA is at 2,000. Maybe it will become one of the +1 ships. (Some ships apparently will get revamped, like the Tier Excelsior, that's now also a C-Store ship.

Of course, all that is subject to change, as usual.
