No.
I'm not buying any more real C-Store points that I don't need in order to get fake C-Store points on Tribble to test stuff for you guys. Allow me to buy fake points without purchasing real points and I'll go hog wild and test them all.
Until then I'll just test other more important stuff.
No offense to you Salami. These all look like really nice work.
Actually if you bothered to look, they have actually been giving out free "fake" C-store test points. I've received 2000 test points so far for Tribble.
You might wanna check your facts before you have a tantrum on the thread.

Which is insufficient to test more than one or two of the 6-8 new ships thus far introduced. Including being able to test ships already unlocked, due to the character transfer limitations and C-Store unlocks not transferring at all.

I have used a science officer with the tractor beam ability on this ship. The origin site of the tractor beam is located at the bridge. The tractor beam at the bridge does not look right to me. It should be under the saucer, hull, and/or aft of the hull. Also, the TNG logo on the ship seems out of place. I think the Alpha symbol should be shown on the ship. Unless there are plans to give a choice of Starfleet logo like the Federation/Fleet symbol, I think the background circle should be removed. Otherwise, the ship looks good.

We've been trying to get rid of the UFP symbol on all ships since Launch. No dice.

The Console has some major issues. First it fires a cloak seeking torpedo. But it requires a target to fire the torpedo? This is extremely counter productive as your trying to shoot something you can not target.
When you do manage to launch the thing the torpedo itself is far to slow a cloaked ship can just dance around it.
2 minutes recharge time seems a bit long for such a limited ability.

i thought it worked on any cruiser?

It's a Tier 2 Cruiser. So, the Tier 1 TOS Constitution skin doesn't match it.
I have a beef with the model itself:
- The blunted-cone bridge is disappointing.
- I feel the neck torpedo launcher is a bit too understated.
- I don't see any aft torpedo launcher. Only pimples.
- I like the ventral saucer cannons/dual beams, which have a very TOS/Ent feel to them. I think it's however unfortunate that the ship lacks the cannon ports shown on the Thunderchild.

I like the Exeter class, though of course I immediately swapped the skin to the Connie Refit. :-)
The only thing I didn't like about the Emissions Seeking Torpedo is that you can't fire it unless you have an uncloaked target to lock onto first. That means that you can't actually use it the way it was used in the movie. If you could, it would make for a nice way to check to see if there was a cloaked ship nearby (albeit, one that's on bit of a timer). If Enterprise-A had been unable to fire it unless there was an uncloaked enemy ship nearby, Chang would have destroyed them and the Excelsior. :-)
But it's still pretty neat.

Actually you can fire it without a target. You just have to have the specific torpedo on your hotbar with autofire turned off. Then you can just press it and it fires.
Its too much of a hassle though... It needs to autofire when you ht the spacebar.

I agree it's not sufficient to test all the ships. I had to choose the Exeter and the Intrepid refit.

It was listed as being able to use on cruiser but when I put it on my T5 Excelsior it did not work and suck you cant put it on the T2 Connie. Last if it is only a targeting system it should work with High Yield and Torpedoe Spread.
No Money form me tray agin.

I love the ship and console. Ive put the Console on my T5 Excelsior and been having fun with it. It fires all the time for me as long as its properly equipped.
I like how it makes the torp blink as it seeks...very nice effect...much like it was in the Movie.
I do think that the cool down is a tad long..and , considering the torp is hitting a cloaked ship..it would be cool if it did enough damage to be feared...right now it just lets you know the cloaked ship is there when it hits.

In my mind the long cooldown takes into account that my chief medical officer and science officer/ XO just can't prep another torpedo in less time while cramped together into the launcher tube.

Ive got my torpedoes on a separate key-bind it wont fire then either. But I did test turning off autofire and clicking the torpedo icon that worked. I hope this is a bug.

I don't even understand what these means. And I didn't say anything about real money.
The posters before me had commented that the free points we were allotted were not enough to test every ship. I pointed out that part of the test was to mine data regarding on which items players chose to spend those free points.

I haven't tested the ship myself, however one of my fleet mates has been testing it against me and a few others and it's really cool as it not only seeks Cloaked ships but any ships using Mask Energy Signature as well, so will be a good counter to Photonic Displacement ;)
Also when one is heading for me I can't stop saying "To be, or not to be" :p

1 Torpedo doesn't really do much. Disabling cloak on the target would make it much more effective and useful overall. As it is, it's a neat tool, but the long cool down prevents it from being a must have anti-klingon weapon.

I know that and I got those, but that's nowhere near enough to test all of these ships is it? Okay then.
And it's not a tantrum. The purchase of C-Store points on Test should be FREE. Telling us that we get real points on Live doesn't help if we don't need those points on Live. The way they have it set up is lame and impels us to purchase points we don't need to get points to help them test.

Lemme try to explain this.
The reason they aren't letting you test willy-nilly is because they're using this as an opportunity to gauge what people are willing to buy. They intend to use this information to direct future C-Store items.
I'm sure they're happy you're willing to test everything, but they don't need individuals to test everything. Which brings me to another point; they also probably did it this way because they assumed that with so many people testing, that even with limited points, each ship would eventually be tested by somebody. It's a gamble, sure, but looking purely at weight of numbers, it's a safe one.
What they ought to do is put these ships on Redshirt, too, so that folks like you can go thoroughly test them and avoid the C-Store market research.
Me personally, I'm playing it the way they want; i'm on;ly buying what I want, and if it's something new, I'll test it at the same time.

Ya, only works with autofire off. I'm thinking it might be a software issue in making this work with autofire, but I do hope its just a bug that needs work.

I love the ship, but for a refit it isn't much of one. The ship is practicly cannon fodder, even with Vice Admiral items, which should help give it some advantage. I also wish that there was a Tier 5 version of the ship, and a new bridge for it.

I have had the same thing happen to me too. So it must be a bug, or the ship has a bad way of getting the weapons to fire. I hope the first example is the real reason, or this ship is in trouble.

The C-Store descriptions have fallen back to the old usage where the first tier (Miranda) is T0.
That causes confusion.

I'm sure somebody else has already suggested this, but I would love to see this skin become available for the T5 Excelsior (obviously you wouldn't be able to mix-and-match parts, but that doesn't bother me). I believe there are many others who would appreciate this, and it would boost your sales!

As would I! I saw this ship just now and bought it on the spot! Best looking ship I've seen in the franchise in a long time. Looks like what the "reboot" ship should have. Coupled with slightly updated/customized STO uniforms and a smaller/classic "pilot/navigator/single capt chair/stations on the perimeter" bridge this is the ultimate STO experience for me. Updated, yet retro.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how quickly a thread about a ship bearing even a slight resemblance to a connie can degrade into a "we want T5 connie" thread.
For crying out loud stop asking. Its never going to happen. CBS wont allow it.
