Imagine a travel system where you could go from system to system from your bridge. No painful Warp Pop-ups every few minutes as you traverse the quadrant looking for assignments. Just lay in a course to a distant system, and off you go. Dropping to a slower warp to manage the UI, then back to maximum for the next set. Aah, how Star Trek that would feel! Am I lazy? Perhaps. But how cool would it be to have my daily runs look more and more like an actual TV episode. Down with sector space! (except maybe viewable from an astrometrics lab)!
