View Full Version : Critical Success, 5 Dilithium?

Ok I'm just checking to see if there is something wrong or not. I finished a mission and it said "Critical Success" but on the rewards it was the regular list of 250 EC, 5 Dilithium ... etc.

Aren't all Critical Successes suppose to have 500ec, 50 Dilithium, ... etc?
At least this is what I though ....


The mission was "Colonial Negotiations with Indigenous Groups in the Delta Volanis Cluster" & for a Critical Success I got 250EC, 5 dilithium,135 Colonial XP , 54 BO XP , 63 XP......

I think that is all Heretic would need to check into this ....

I have had several critical Success that paid 5 Dilithium, and others that paid 50. I even recall one that paid 150, so I can see that rewards are out there if you hit the right Buttons.

When I assign, I look at the Numbers near the top of the assignment screen to Up the Crit Success Numbers to the max available. Seems to work for me most of the time.

I will check out the assignment to see if there is something wrong with the numbers. Thanks for the head's up.I've noticed the 5-150 Dil Crits too. Should we do a Bug Report on those? Is there a set amount (50?) or should it just be "more than 5"?

Likewise, what are expected numbers for CXP Crits? I remember getting Crits on Tribble that were multiple thousands of CXP (3-5k). I know it was reduced some, but it seems now when I crit I'm getting a couple hundred CXP, if I'm lucky. Is that "normal"?

I have got 1-1.5k CXP crits a couple times on Holodeck, but no where near as often as I get the Crits themselves. And of course it's never in the fields I'm actually aiming towards. :rolleyes:

Thanks Heretic .... and just to let you know I remember seeing other missions that did this also, but I didn't save the names.... If you need more assignment names let me know and I'll keep an eye out for this happening again.....

On another note, did you look into the percentage not changing with different colored DOFF when a generic DOFF type (One without any traits) is required for the assignment? It would just ask for a "Science" DOFF, no traits, the percentage would stay the same with either a White DOFF or a Purple DOFF .... I just thought that all other items considered equal a Purple DOFF would give you a better success percentage than a White DOFF.....

Sorry to be asking so much about these things, but you created a really fun game and I'm always playing to set up my DOFF's ...

There are just too many variables that differ between assignments for me to give standard answers to the above, sorry. If something seems out of whack, let me know and I'll take a look at it.

The best example I know of that ask for a DOFF with no traits are the Holiday assignments that ask for 3 Science Officers. No Traits. If I use white DOFF's it is 56% Success, If I use Purple DOFF's it is 56% success, same for Blue & Green.... All I'm saying is that a Purple should have a higher Success percentage that the White ......

I think the holiday assignments are like the KDF's "Execute for Incompetence", they aren't influenced by any traits or rarity modifiers.
