I hope those guys had more than one child. I would like to see these listed among the great houses at some point.

If not, maybe House Ka'mbel, House Ko' likos and House Ansara(man must have been a klingon fallen to earth).

I would love to see the ability to add one's on House (fleet) into the dialouge as a minor house of the Empire and eventually work one's way up (through fleet advancement) to a rank as a major house in the Empire.
It has always rankled me that we, as KDF players, are subject to being in only one of two house as far as the game is concerned.

If you could affiliate your fleet or self with one of those houses, how would you choose which one?
Yeah, Kor makes a great drinking buddy, but Koloth walked the path of the warrior, and Kang was the strategists.

... now my head is smoking from thinking about it....

I have long maintained hat house allegiance should be a factor in the game. Even a small tokenistic start would be enough.

At the most simple level a short dialogue driven mission would do. At the end of it you select a house to belong to and maybe get a BOff reward with a particular trait associated with that house. Longer term they might offer unique vendors and mission variance. Choose two 'factions' within the KDF and have the houses set on a rival course. Perhapos even as simple as doves & hawks. One faction that supports th war and the otehr that believes the war with the Federation is a distraction from the important war against the Borg.

Anyway, in short, I don't care where or how small it starts, house selection should be built in the game and the sooner it starts the better.

I like Kang. Michael Ansara is more of a "Klingon's Klingon" type I think. Least on screen.

Kor and Gowron seem to be similar types, I think those two would probably be tiring to be around.

Koloth. Frankly I really can't remember him too much. Haven't seen old trek for a long time. Trelane sticks out more than Koloth.

Anyway that's my take on it.

Excellent idea!

In DS9: Blood Oath it was said that the Albino poisoned the First Born sons of Kang, Koloth, and Kor. But in DS9: Unto the Breach, we find out Kor had no heirs to his house. :(

When STO was in Alpha, I was thinking this was how the KDF was going to be. With us able to choose a main house. So we could fight under the flag of the House of Martok, Duras, or other houses.

And perhaps it's not too late. Maybe in their upcoming fleet system, they could implement such a system. Federation fight under a Fleet Banner, while KDF fight under a large Klingon House. You work towards gaining or losing honor points for the house and those points open or close unique missions, rare goods, or special privalages.

Oh man, go watch Blood Oath. Koloth was a deadly serious, cynical, snarky and highly intelligent Klingon. He and Kang were the way Klingons should have been - cunning, opportunistic and relentless. They had no truck with drinking themselves into a coma on bloodwine and fighting just because they were Klingon, or glory-hounding the way Gowron did. They believed in fighting for a purpose, and winning. They weren't space vikings, the way almost every Klingon after Star Trek 6 was portrayed.
