View Full Version : Engineer - Advanced Heavy Cruiser Retrofit

I am newly back to the game and just wondering how I should specialize my skills for the Advanced Heavy Cruiser Retrofit.

Is this even the better option than the Assault or Star cruisers?

Also I have been experimenting with different weapons. Right now I am running 3 beams 1 torp fore and 3 beams 1 torp aft. I tried the dual beam bank up front, didnt like it but I was thinking why not have 2 beams 2 torps in the front and 4 beams in the back, it always seems easier to turn towards the enemy fire a torp then go back to running pirate ship on them, so this way I can fire both torps then turn back and keep firing away.


Anyway, I really just want some feedback on a specialization that is good for doing damage and staying alive.

Tactical

Target Subsystem Shields 1
High Yield Torpedo 2
High Yield Torpedo 1
Attack Pattern Omega 1

Engineering

Emergency Power to shields I
Directed Energy Modulation I
Emergency Power to Weapons III
Aceton Beam III
Emergency Power to Weapons I
Engineering Team II
Emergency Power to Auxillary I

Science

Tachyon Beam I
Polarize Hull II

High Yield Torpedo 1 (drop this and get Tact Init--helps with Shield and Ship Wps Training, and Boarding Party Remover.)
Attack Pattern Omega 1

Engineering

Emergency Power to shields I
Directed Energy Modulation I
Emergency Power to Weapons III
Aceton Beam III (This is great, but it effects one target *if wrong, please correct*, Eject Warp Plasma can catch several targets, if close to together
Emergency Power to Weapons I (Exhange for a System attack specility, e.g. Wpns, shields, etc)
Engineering Team II
Emergency Power to Auxillary I

Science

Tachyon Beam I (Hazards Emitters, helps with hull heals, and plasma attacks and some other things)
Polarize Hull II
