OK so it's not RoboCop but it is RoboCop's actor Peter Weller who also stared in Buckaroo Banzai. You know that campy cult film I got my location quote from.

I heard about this a while ago. Pretty cool. I wonder if he'll be reprising his role from the end of Enterprise, or if he'll be an entirely new character, since his episodes did still happen in the JJ Timeline.

Yeah did not realize this was old news till it was too late. Would be interesting if they have him reprise a alternate version of his Enterprise role, he was a great bad guy but I have my doubts, with a younger bad guy already working on the shoot.

Oh yeah, the guy from Sherlock. Forgot about him.
If he did reprise his role, he owuld still be the same version of the character we saw, since the timeline split happened after Enterprise.
If he is a new character or not (Makes more sense to be a new one), I'm looking forward to seeing him either way.

I suspect it will be a new character he plays but could be wrong. It's easy for us fans to argue time line splits and all that but the writers view it as their own personal Trek universe that's not trully connected to what has gone before just loosely inspired by it.
hehe... If Archer even existed in JJ's universe, I bet he would recast the part... *hides.*

Oh aye, I'm 99% certain he will be a new character. Was just speculating. We know Archer does exist, as Scotty transwarp-beamed Admiral Archer's prized Beagle.... somewhere.
Probably not Porthos (and yes, was purely a nod to Enterprise) but I like to think Archer and Porthos are still together. Well, until Scotty turned up. Would be funny if in this next film, Porthos randomly beams into the background of a scene.
