unknown weapon dont know what it is

I'm in Kerrat and got barraged by what looks like giant plasma explosions. And it took my ship out quick.
Think it came from the Klingon side.
Can someone tell me what it was. No one would give up thier secret.
I'd love to get hooked up with that ability or weapon.

You might be correct. Except I was hit by a barrage of plasma explosions that did far more damage than the plasma shots the Borg Cubes usually put out. So I'm suspicious since it happened more than once.
But I will have to pay closer attention next time. Not sure a Borg ship was in range at that moment.

It was a multitude of Plasma explosions all at once surrounding my ship, and all around me. Only if I got hit directly did I get wiped out. Other times I found myself in the middle of the Barrage.

Torp spread, even with a non-facing downed shield, will MESS YOU UP.

In Ker'rat? Could it be a Klingon ship ambushing you with a torpedo spread? This is the most likely scenario as aforementioned.

To survive these things you can either polarize the hull (PH1 sci power) or use Brace for Impact. Keep them in reserve for when you see salvoes incoming but have no more immediate shield heals left.

yes i seen this a few time but only in missions for now. the romulan battel ship has a plasma weapon that can take out my galaxy ship in one go. :( I had full hll and shield over 6000 :eek:

Sounds like a Tactical Cube bumrushed you with Torpedo Spread. If you're not in a cruiser with full shields you're pretty much dead if it makes contact.

You mean Donatara's ship in Khitomer? That's a thalaron weapon, not a plasma.

If you were in Kerrat I assure you it was a plasma torp spread from a cube, or even from more than one

That's what I'm hinting at. I have never seen a torpedo spread fired at me from Borg cubes and spheres. High yield, yes, normals yes, spreads, no.

Unless Donatra made a guest appearance in Ker'rat and blasted you to bits, I'm guessing an enhanced battle cloak B'rel as well.

edit- nvm sounds like plasma spread. Although, really a spread 3 of anything shouldnt be enough to take anything out. might have just been a really good alpha strike with some icing on the cake.

If you look at the buffs of a tactical cube that's been pulled into combat in Ker'rat, you'll see Torpedo Spread (might be called Torpedo Explosion for NPCs) show up. The normal cubes, spheres and probes don't have it, which is why whenever the Borg Repair things need to be destroyed at the end of the match, I steer way clear of the center. I don't like being oneshot by the Borg.
