Defiant Tier 5 only for one caracter ?

Hi,
I have a defiant retrofit I acquired a long time ago with a character.

Now I'd like to use it on my 2 others characters but the cstore tells me I have to pay 1600 cpoint !?
I can't understand, I thought when a ship was bought it was for the account. I also have a MVAM and an excelsior T5 and they can be taken without buying them for all my characters. Has someone an idea ? Thanks.

You didn't use a Veteran token to claim it with that character, did you?

I had this issue also and talked to a GM about it. He said if you acquired it using the VA token we used to get then yes it is character based. If you BUY it from the c-store (post S5) then it becomes unlocked for all toons. Kinda sucks as I had the escort retrofit, the intrepid retrofit and the and galaxy class retrofit for some toons and deleted a couple b/c i thought i could keep the ship. GM says sorry it's not that way anymore.
