I am running windows 7 and use safari and firefox.
Problem: about every 30 min the internet connection in the browser times out. This forces me to close all windows and open the program again.
Major problem: It may effect STO. It keeps crashing after a few missions when I try to leave areas.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this. My mac does not do this so I assume it is a pc issue.

I have determined that it is either internet or modem that is causing this. It also affects my xbox. So it can't be the computer. It does not affect wireless computers in the house.
I could get a wireless adapter to make sure.

THis is not an STO issue, but try with your computer connected directly to your Modem (Not Router, unless they are integrated into a single unit) through a Ethernet cable. If the problem occurs with the wired connection, have your ISP switchout your modem ASAP. If that does not fix the problem, insist your ISP address and fix the issue immediately or switch to a different ISP.
Good Luck!

I plan on doing this tomorrow.

Do you have DSL? A missing filter can do that. Check things like alarm systems, satellite TV receivers, and other things that have a phone connection but don't often get thought of.
