Install, fine...log in, fine...create character, not so fine!

So I've downloaded, installed and started up the game all fine. I log into the server and get what I assume to be the standard screen asking me to "create new federation character" yet when I click this the profile window disappears and I'm just left with the background unable to see or do anything more. After about 4mins of staring at this HOPING something will happen I'm told I've been disconnected from the server...

Any ideas?

The servers are under very heavy load as a few thousand people are making character simultaneously. Please just try again in a few minutes.

Your login information should be the same information that you use to login to the STO website.

Wow i can hear the servers dying all thee way from sweden xD Good luck cryptic! i sure hope ill get in before it gets to late in the night, got work tomorrow...
