Had the exact smae thing happen to me when beaming back to my ship from the Earth space station, I logged out and when I logged back in it was the ship (phew) not the character in space.

i had this happen when coming back to the ship on the pjam system mission. All of us beamed back into the character in space and we waited a few min and the ships loaded. Seems to be releated to server lag, most likly on the server side, since it getting stressed out from all the open beta'ers :)

the reverse is just as funny, when you beam to planet and you are the ship not your captain!
