I was on beta, do i have do re download for headstart?

I purchased the game online and have the code, but everytime I try to start it it will not give me an option to put in the code. Since I was in the beta, do I have to re download the game? I am doing it now from Atari, but was bummed because I thought I could play right away.

No you do not have to re download the game. If you already had the pre-order code entered (which you should have), login and enjoy.

hmm, I sent in ticket. The launcher says server is down and to contact billing. Oh well there was bound to be a glitch or 2.

You have to download a almost 10gb patch, then you are good to go.

Wrong if you were in OB the patch was only 59 MEG's. If you had to patch 10 GIG then you had soemthing wrong.

apparently if you bought the game through steam, you have to download a 10GB patch.

I hate steam right now.

Yep, Steam wiped the game directory and is currently downloading all 10 GB again. Pretty damn stupid.

after this patch downloads, and I get in, I figure later this evening/overnight I'll dl the external client and just use that from now on.

I just purchased STO thru Steam, and downloaded the game. Should Steam have sent me an activation code? Because I never received one. When I try to create an STO account here, it asks for an activation code. What am I missing?
