I know for most of us this goes without saying; try and stay away from any "Flame" and or "Nerd Rage" post on the forums. Not that I have seen anyone in our fleet involved but don't even do it to defend the game it bumps that trash to the top of the forums. Also trying to convince people that have no imagination and or patience is about as pointless as herding cats.

All that being said, all the people in this fleet from Fleet Admiral to the new cadet in the academy are cut from a different cloth. We respect all and are professional at all times. This is why this fleet will be the the greatest in STO!

Work and school are my constant, mix that in with a wife and three kids and my degree seems to float further down stream. I'm in it for the long hall though and can't wait to get that very time consuming and costly piece of paper that says that I'm somewhat smart enough to get the about zero jobs out there.

On a more positive note, I have been very impressed by all of our new members who are so excitedly recruiting and sharing their thoughts on the fleet. Your constant upbeat attitudes are a great testimony to the strength and professionalism that Fifth fleet was built on. I am glad that you are apart of this growing organization and can't wait to see where we go from here.

Have you ever look at the background of the Fifth Fleet forums or the Fifth Fleet main site, thefifthfleet.info, and said "I could do better!" Well here is your chance. The Fifth Fleet News Network is glad to announce a new contest to see if the officers can out do Captain Fae'Dother in making a new background for both the main site and the forums.

Here are the rules:
MUST BE AN ACTIVE OFFICER OF THE FIFTH FLEET.
The background must be 2000 x 2000 pixels
The background must contain a Space station.
Must be photoshoped together for easy editing, as the need arises.
Also must contain at least three different types of ships(Escort, Cruiser, ect…).

Duration:
The contest will be held from the present date (2/11/2010) until March 15th of this year (2010).

Prizes:
First Place:
This winner will have their background displayed on the main site, thefifthfleet.info.
Also they will receive a special award to be displayed on their ID badge.

Second Place:
This winner will have their background displayed on the forums of the Fifth Fleet, fifthfleetforums.proboards.com.

Hello everyone, nice to meet you and to be a member of the Fifth Fleet.
I look forward to run some fleet actions together
My work schedule;in case some don't know, is: Wednesday from 6:30pm to 12:30am and 12:30pm to 12:30am Thursday-Saturday.

Hope i got title of my post right because i looked it up in google. i tried the air force back in Dec '95, but between getting 103.4 phenomena and having my paperwork lost for 26 days while i was in med hold and performing base escort duties, lost my mojo. It was ordered that i was to go back into training immediately, but i think it was a room thing. I t was downhill for me then on. Sometimes i wish i handled things differently, meaning one of the TI's (SSgt. Sutton) who saw me back when i was getting off bus and had said i could make it. After making it to 5th week and getting my dog tags; i hadn't passed that weeks inspection, which was required and had to start from zero week again. I had gained some weight from being in med hold so would have to go into weight management. I was in there for 3 months before deciding to leave with entry level separation. I guess i got spooked one day when some TI's made jokes of airman making it to 6 months, thus reaching the time frame where one could be discharged, i.e permanent party. I was in the 321st training squadron out of Lackland AFB, TX

Fantastic, I think that ol'chappy boy is lacking in his...ummm... shooting practice of the Academy staff. lol. Actually I am sure that they are all quite busy with the flood of cadets that we have been getting and then Real life always seems to get in the way at the most inopportune times.

I am going to save this from the depths of page 3.

To anyone that is looking for a Star Trek Online fleet, have a look at Fifth Fleet. We are mature and well organized. We have a militaristic structure and we also have an award system for those who help out in the fleet.
Then there is our sense of community. Now I have been a part of many guilds and gaming groups since high school, many years ago, and I have not been a part of a group that was so friendly and willing to help you out in a game.
