Note: Fan productions can be fan fiction, fan movies, fan drawings, etc.

I can't go into too much detail but pretty much any Star Trek "rule 34" gets pretty damn weird.

I thought that you could list the weirdest in each of the 8 categories. Here's an anecdote related to the contents of the list:
#3. Weirdest society: Malachorians in RIS Bouteina. Rather than to go all-out against plagiariasm and other forms of academic and gambling dishonesty, they seem to support it. And not only they condone academic cheating, they even grant cheating charters (a.k.a. cheating licenses). Furthermore, advanced academic cheating is taught at an university level and the cheaters who pass the course gain three credits as well as a cheating charter. (I think it also goes with #8, weirdest depiction of a theme)
However, this list is not exhaustive. We all know that Star Trek has a "strange new worlds" component to it.

How about some canon examples?
1. Balok's First Federation ship- The Corbomite Maneuver.
2. the Ornithoid Lifeforms- Catspaw.
3. the Gamesters of Triskelion.
4. Loskene- The Tholian Web.
5. Melkot- Spectre of the Gun
6. Sargon's spherical storage device- Return to Tomorrow.
7. "All Good Things.."- TNG
8. 1980's San Francisco- ST:IV
