Faster speed in sector space??

I dont know if this has been fielded b4... but will there ever be an increase in sector space speed.... sometimes it gets so tedious... all that flying... doing nothing....

Well you do get faster speeds as you level up hover over the speed bar on the left and it tells you, your warp factor goes up as you level up and such
